We went here the day after...
We went here the day after Moulin Rouge. It's in the same street but the other side. In fact there are three clubs of this name. As far as I can tell, there are just branches of the same club. At a guess, the dancers cycle between them and you would seem the same in the other clubs. We went to the largest looking one, furthest from the Centraal Station end of the street.
It is somewhat similar to Moulin Rouge but much better. If you only have time for one of these clubs then come here (though I have not tried Banananbar yet). The cost is slightly higher: 40 euros or 50 with two drink tokens. There is not much pressure to drink so only buy the tokens if you want to drink. As with Moulin Rouge, you cannot go out and in again but you can stay through repeats of the shows.
We got 9 different shows, the performers were much more attractive (but still not great), and the gaps between shows were shorter. There is a medium sized stage with a section that raises and rotates for some shows. This is good and allows you to view the action from multiple angles from one seat. There are 10 seats to each row (5 either side of the aisle) and a couple of dozen rows. The view from the first few rows is good but it would be poor from further back. Despite that, many people chose to sit far back. We chose the front row next to the aisle for the best view. The seats are closely spaced and there is not a lot of leg room so our view was at the cost of comfort.
