So I just moved to town...

So I just moved to town with my boyfriend and we wanted to check out the local strip club. We've both worked in the strip club business and we enjoy visiting new clubs and seeing how they compare to what we're used to. Being from the east coast, I had high expectations from big bad California but I have to say I was pretty disappointed. The club was very small with limited seating around the stage, a couple floor tables, and some couch-style booths. The stage itself was also quite small and the ceiling is so low there is really no useable pole for the girls to show off their skills (which is something I really enjoy watching). Also, it was so dark in there that it was nearly impossible to see girl's faces on stage. It really is a disservice to the girls cause it makes you think that the club is trying disguise their ugly faces. There were a handful of quite attractive girls, but a lot of them were pretty subpar. I did like the sound system/ volume. Some clubs are so loud you can't talk to someone sitting next to you. This place was loud enough to feel like a party atmosphere, but you could still talk. I think the $20 cover for both men and women is pretty excessive. I wasn't used to having to buy a drink voucher upfront at the door. $5 is a little steep for soda, water, or redbull, but whatever. I felt that for a friday it was pretty low-energy in there, but maybe it picks up after the bars close at 2?I didn't buy any lap dances (none of the girl struck my fancy nor inspired me to buy one for my guy) so I can't speak to that aspect. Overall, it's worth checking out if you're in the area and looking for that kind of entertainment. Mostly because it's the only one in town. But don't go there expecting too much or you'll probably be disappointed.
