So a few weeks back, I was back in the A-Z after over a year solid in the South. A couple of my friends decided they were gonna drag me along to Centerfold's, an idea to which I strongly objected at first, in no small part because I nursed at the proverbial teat of Scottsdale strip clubs, and couldn't for the life of me imagine that a club near Peoria and the 17 would be anywhere near to being worth my while.

Imagine my oh-so-pleasant surprise when I discovered just how wrong I was.

First of all, let's start with the fact that this club is a dual-edged sword: full nude on one side, topless on the other. Sure, the topless side has the better looking girls, because it seems they're more willing to dance if they don't have to show EVERYTHING. That having been said, the girls on the nude side more than make up for it in enthusiasm, especially when they grab hold of you and drag you (and your $25 per dance) back to one of the very poorly lit couches in the corner.

Like I said, the topless side has the better looking girls, in addition to the booze and the much greater number of people. There are three stages going at a time - the main stage, from whence the girl rotates to aux. stage 1 and then aux. stage 2. There was one girl, a young middle-eastern looking lady by the name of Irina, who I'm pretty sure pulled well over $100 in ones just on one ten-minute set of stage dances. And then, she decided to pay me a visit.

A lap dance or two later, and she had me talked into the VIP. Once in the VIP, she whispered in my ear that the bouncers were really busy, and they probably would either 1) not notice or 2) look the other way if my hands were found to be where they ought not be. Now, at first I was wary, but again - to my great surprise - she was being completely truthful. And so it was that over the course of, oh, about ten VIP dances, there ended up being plenty of two-way mileage. Alas, my wallet gave out before Irina's magical ways caused me to give out (intentional, no doubt), but I still left that night quite pleased.
