A Friday at Christie's

Greetings fellow PL's! Long time no see.

I've recently ended my clubbing sabbatical and have quickly realized a bittersweet fact: I am way, way too well-known at my mainstay clubs (Hi-Liter and Bandaids). As much as I enjoy the company of my various Cubans and some other long time faves, there's a certain level of pressure in the slow season I prefer to avoid if possible- turns out that when two competing dancers forcibly sit at my table and duel each other for attention, I lose out on a lot of the "relaxation" part of the experience. Accordingly, on a recent Friday afternoon, seized with the desire to shake off routine and meet new people I stepped into the Tempe Christie's location with high hopes and a full wallet. Please indulge my thoughts regarding what has changed and what has stayed the same at this venerable venue since my last visit (sometime in early 2025).

I was charged $7 upon entry as Christie's charges cover both day and night. It's worth noting that you get an entry ticket that is good for a chicken sandwich or other menu entree. This promotion only lasts until 2:00pm though, so I missed out this time around. It's an okay chicken sandwich, as I recall, with a fair portion size and fries on the side. No drink specials were running while I was there so I paid the typical extortionate rates for a double-tall Jack and coke and a light beer ($24 total). Didn't do any VIP dances so unsure what the prices look like in the back- my floor dances were all the standard $10 per.
