After looking around the block for a place to sit down, I settled on Chez Joey. Yes, "settled." Some nights in Baltimore are simply off, and I'm hoping this was the case, but the energy was off. The ladies were bored, going through the motions, but still attempting the hard sell. After a few sips of my drink, I was regretting my decision to choose this place, but I stuck around to finish my very expensive soda. The bottom line: the malaise on the block is thick and Chez Joey has not been spared.
