So here is my honest assessment of Dixie Divas. I live in Nola and stop in from time to time - usually well after midnight. Every time I'm there it is a mix of girls - all ethnic backgrounds, sizes, shapes and ages. They range from early 20s to early 40s and also range from 2s to 8s in the looks department. There is also a shim or two there if that is your type of thing - if it's not, so be it. They're not out to trick you and you won't be tricked if you're paying attention. Beers are about $7 and there is no cover charge. You can go in and just watch the dancers. Dancing has gotten much better over the last couple of years. Not everyone there likes to dance and, if there is no one dancing, complain and they will put dancers on the stage. I've done it many times. The girls can seem a bit pushy but are genuinely nice and will sit and talk to you. No cover so stop in and take a look. If you don't like it, no loss. Lap dances are definitely available.
