I have just checked and they haven't added it yet so I can't review yet. This is the web site address thttp://www.lavieamsterdam.nl/en/ though. Everything is pretty similar but beer is slightly cheaper (but still expensive). As it's out of red light area I assume it's less tourists and more Dutch men that go there. I went there after midnight on Saturday and it wasn't rammed as the reviewer below says the red light one was (I haven't found that myself anyway though).

All nationalities. They are supposed legally to be EU nationals, but Thais etc. seem to get round it somehow.

I never seen it as busy as that and always had a good time. Have visited at the sort of time you did as well.

You are correct to think it once had same owners as Browns. A brother and sister ran them, but they fell out and one took a pub each splitting the business. Later the one who took Browns opened another pub The Horns.

It wouldn't be an "Ad" though 'cuz the club would just be worried they'd be closed down if some of the described things went on.

If it was an ad wouldn't they have talked it up a bit more? I don't get it. This seems a very poor review for an "Ad"!

Desertscrub seems to think nearly every review is a club ad! Sometimes he says it when rival clubs nearly next door to each other have good reviews by the same person! I don't understand why he has this obsession! Maybe he in fact works for a club and says that every good review of rival venues is a club ad? That might not be it, but I am struggling to find some explanation.

Desertscrub seems obsessed with "Fake reviews" like Donald Trump with "Fake news". He once accused a reviewer who reviewed Ye Olde Axe of doing fake reviews when the reviewer had also reviewed Browns. If anybody knows the area they will know they are rival clubs a spit apart from each other, so somebody doing "Fake reviews" would hardly be giving good fake reviews to both.

This reviewer has reviewed both Browns and Ye Olde Axe and both have been accused of being "Club reviews". They are neighbouring rival pubs very near each other, so I don't think that can be true.
