Enjoy Amsterdam .. suggestion for a fun afternoon

La Vie en Prost is a strip bar in the Amsterdam red light district. It has a 5 Euro cover charge (at least in the late PM when I visited), and beers are 6 Euros .. not unreasonable. Inside there is a bar area, rather crowded, and a stage with 2 or 3 girls dancing in front of bar stools with close-up drinkers. The girls move through a series of numbers, in increasing undress until naked. Generally in the 7-8 range. The idea is that the punters in front pay the girls and then they will come up close, and even jump onto the guy and do a quick lap dance. Normal lap dances are 10 Euros dressed and 20 Euros naked. I did not try this, as I had other ideas – see later. A nice touch – the barmaids are topless, actually with a top that they pull down below their tits. Actually, I thought them cuter than the dancers.

The club is in a narrow alley, right next to an entry which opens up into a covered area with a series of rooms around it, each with a bed and a girl (if the curtains are not drawn). The girls stand and the door and try to entice you in. Again, 7-8 range. It’s rather like the window shopping in the street, but to me rather more pleasant as there is some privacy for the essential discussion with the girls. The going rate is 50 Euros for a ‘suck and fuck’, which will take 10-15 minutes or so. More time or more services extra. To my view, much better value than the club: best plan, have a couple of beers in the club, then hit the alley.
