@623 - after your question now i am thinking why it connected with out any vpn requirements. it is possible I might have viewed the downloaded series. I downloaded full series at home prior to trip and remember at least watching one episode on netflix. Regarding youtube, I was using regular YouTube service not youtube.tv.

If it helps, I used Google Fi for couple of days at cascades during my last trip. Internet connectivity and cellular reception was good (was on 5th floor all the way in the back). Was able to attend meeting, stream Netflix and YouTube with out issues.

I crossed Border with global entry card this morning. They did not ask for my passport. Agent scanned my global entry card, asked me where I am heading and waved me through.

I am tempted to try a day shif after this review.

A fun experience I forgot to add. On the last day of my trip, I accidentally left my phone on the table at a HK bar and went upstairs for an arriba. While getting dressed after the session, I realized my phone was missing. I ran down stairs with almost no hope of getting my phone back and saw a mesero waving at me with a big grin on his face. We went upstairs to 3rd floor where the list and found was right next to the humongous locker room where girls were getting ready for downstairs. It was a sight to behold.
