Thanks for the review. I've wondered what the strip club scene was like in Russia. Probably not as wild as the scene in Moscow's famous Hungry Duck Club (search a porn site) that was closed a few years ago.

I too find the mandatory sweater or sweat shirt check annoying and puzzling. I've simply refused to enter the club when it is chilly and I don't want to relinquish a sweater.

Thanks for the review. I dont't live in Grand Rapids but to my knowledge the city does not have a Twin Peaks, Tilted Kilt or Hooters. I'm not sure how a city of this size manages to exclude nearly any semblance of adult entertainment. Nevertheless, it is what it is and Sensations probably feels like an oasis in a desert.

How do strip clubs survive in Montreal if they don't provide extras? After all, the strip clubs are competing with the escort scene is essentially legal and offers high quality entertainment.

Well written, especially for your first review. Glad that you had fun on your first visit but your still technically a strip club virgin--- nothing bad but you now have a goal with future strip club visits. Read the reviews and you'll get a pretty good scouting report on the nature of the fun that can be had at most clubs. Hope you'll post some more reviews as you find opportunities to visit clubs in the future.

This exposes a minor problem with our review system. If you do NOT know of a duplicate submission, then this review would meet the criteria for posting for most reviewers. It is also possible that a review could be plagiarized from a different reviewer, and that would be difficult to detect during the review process.
Probably some type of post publication flagging process to remove duplicate and plagiarized reviews? If it is obvious that the duplication was intention (not the result of accidental double posting) then there should be consequences for the poster, such as removing VIP status.

Upstairs for a smoke?? I've been to this club a couple of times and never noticed an "upstairs" where smoking was allowed.

I suspect that the crucial factor in the business downturn at Penthouse was the city's recent requirement that all the strip clubs within the city limits remove privacy curtains. This has driven strip club customers to the suburbs where similar restrictions have not been applied. It is just a matter of time until some of the clubs in the city go out of business. This may have an adverse impact on the ability of the dancers to make a living, it may drive some of the dancers to more dangerous activities and venues (street work and escorting) and will also impact tax revenue and the desirability of Detroit for convention business.

Can you clarify pricing-- $54 to the house for each of two girls (108 to the house)? Or $54 to each girl directly? In other words, how much for access to the VIP and how much for the talent?

Sucks! Was the woman that you paid the $20 booth fee still on duty?? The manager should have verified with her.
So they lose a long time customer and get lots of bad PR over a 20 dollar booth charge. Terrible management decision.

Unless they've recently changed ownership, Penthouse is not part of the Hustler brand.
This review would have been more helpful if you reported on the private dances and mileage.
