In Utah, all Trails Lead to Satan
In my Utah strip club journey, I finally made it to the legendary Trails. Trails is the strip club that has been voted #1 in the local alternative weekly's Best of Utah guide (https://www.cityweekly.net/utah/best-of-utah-2018/BestOf?oid=11652100&storyPage=13) for years and years. I don't think it's ever been dethroned. There isn't a ton of competition since SLC is the opposite of Portland, with probably the lowest amount of strip clubs per capita. So my expectations were high if this was supposed to be the best club in the humble and underrated SLC scene. Trails is the closest club to downtown, sitting in a quickly gentrifying neighborhood that is turning warehouses into chic town homes. I parked in the increasingly crowded parking lot due to an apt building that has been newly built right next door. No charge and no valet. The outside looks like an apocalyptic makeshift outpost. I walked through the black door and into a hallway. No one was there to greet me so I just walked through another door into the main area. The bar is all the way on the left where most of the seating is. The stage is long with multiple poles and goes from right to left as you enter the place. There are chairs all around the stage and another open area to the right of the entrance, but this seemed closed or off limits for now. The place was strangely bright with a high ceiling and I think there were some windows letting in natural light. No one was sitting at the stage but about 20-25 customers at the bar and high-top tables scattered around. I ordered a beer and a cheeseburger for about $20 and had the bartender give me singles. Friendly but minimal staff. I like sitting at the stage, so that's what I did, all by myself. With no lapdances or VIP what the hell else am I gonna do? I ate my burger and fries (tasted great) and tried not to talk to the dancers while chewing. One dancer on stage at a time for two songs, then did a minimal tip walk. The dancers were uniformly hot with various ages from early 20's to maybe 40's. Out of the 8 dancers I saw, 7 were white and 1 black. Two voluptuous white girls (one with an eastern European accent) with pleasantly fake tits, the rest natural and spinners. 50% tatted. They were easy to talk to and very friendly. I tipped my share and I think they appreciated having someone dig their dances at the stage rather than from afar. PLs varied from latino and white construction workers to cowboy types, one tall skinny dude with a big white cowboy hat would throw stacks of singles onto the stage from his table. The girls seemed to like it as they would come sit at his table after the dance like it was some kind of harem. This place is okay for Utah, dancers are sexy and know their way around a pole but best strip club in the state? Don't think so. Pinky's and Duces Wild (which shares some of the same dancers) are better, more intimate versions of the 21+, no touch, no laptop, no VIP titty bar. And American Bush is the best strip club in the state.
No Tail at Trail
Having been to clubs in NY/NE, FL and a few other places, I thought why not try a club in SLC while here. It was a short walk and had nothing else to do. Well, this ain't Providence or Tampa...not even close. Walking distance of the south side of downtown SLC, Trails didn't seem to have much parking. The lot was full but not because of club visitors. I think due to another building across the lot. Enter and pay $10. No security check. Walk into the main room which is kind of partitioned into 2 sections, each with a stage. The one to the left was open and had the bar so I went in. Two TVs above the bar had the local Jazz game on the screen. Main stage was decent size with a poll and seating around it. Got a beer for $8 and sat down. Saw maybe 10 girls on stage during my visit and tipped most of them at least several ones. Other guys (maybe another 10 of those) were tipping as well. Girls had pasties. A sign warned to keep your distance (3 ft) and the obligatory warnings about photos etc. Girls were actually quite pretty...mostly white, 1 black. I had wished it were a "normal" strip club. After one particularly pretty blonde was getting off stage, I explained my first time in SLC and asked what the deal was there. Short answer....no lap dances, no contact. And apparently no talking either as no girls during my time there spent any time with any customer (except one fat dude who must be a regular and inserted himself into conversation with the aforementioned blonde and one other girl). So I enjoyed the titty show, such as it was, and left. I might check out one other club this weekend. Based on reading some other reviews here, I don't expect much. But why not....just makes me appreciate home more.
Lite entertainment in Salt Lake City
Traveling for work in Salt Lake City and decided to see what was around. This club had surprisingly friendly hours for someone in my position, opening at 11am. It’s in a slightly tougher, mixed commercial/industrial side of Salt Lake City. It’s situated off a well traveled street and has a parking lot that probably accommodates 25 or so cars. Next to an apartment/condo building. So I walked in around 2:30 pm on Saturday. There was no one at the front desk, so I walked right in without any door fee. As you walk in, you’re coming in midway through a large room with two long, parallel stages. The bar is all the way to the left, and had a very cute and friendly young female bartender. Attendance was lite, probably because of the time. There was a group of about 7-8 older guys at the bar with similar shirts on…maybe a bowling league or something like that. And then there were also 5-6 guys sitting around the first stage. (The only one in use.) I walked up to the bar and got a hard seltzer for $6. I believe beer was the same price. As I expected in Utah, the place is conservative. There were 4 girls that I saw, 1 white blonde, 2 white brunettes and one AA girl. The girls went on stage one at a time for 10 minute sets. The guys were tipping quite generously for the show. Some throwing $5 or $10 in singles at a time on stage. The girls danced in g-strings and pasties. No touching allowed, no lap dances, and no VIP service. This was a very different experience than what I’m used to in clubs in the northeast, but then again…it’s Utah.

sinclair's Review
I went to Trails Men’s Club on a Saturday afternoon at about 12:30. I had several hours to kill before a delayed flight out of SLC. There was no cover charge. Sincweisers were $7 in a bottle. There was also draft beer available. A menu on the wall said a pint of draft beer was $5, a stein of draft beer was $7, and a bottle of beer was $6. I’m assuming that the menu was dated since Jelli charged me a dollar more for my beers. Trails has a dedicated kitchen with a full time cook. A few customers ordered hamburgers and fries, and they looked tasty. There is a vending machine with snacks. Chips are $1. Candy is $1.50. Cigarettes are $10 for a pack. No smoking or vaping is allowed inside the building. There is a sizable smoking patio with tables outside. The ATM has a $200 maximum withdrawal and a $5.75 fee per transaction. The stage is a long runway about two and a half feet off the ground that traverses both sides of the floorplan. Only the left side of the club and stage was in use because it was not very busy. Each end of the stage has a stripper pole, and the stage is surrounded by railings that are about two and half feet tall. Dancers climbed all over the fencing, but there was no contact between tippers and dancers. An auxiliary stage with no pole is on the back wall of the left side of the club. The right side of the club has the washrooms, two pool tables, and a second bar on the back wall. Dancers do three song sets on stage. Dancers get topless, but they wear pasties over their nipples. Strip clubs in Utah have strict rules if alcohol is served. This also means there are no lap dances. Only strip clubs with no alcohol served can do private dances. The silver lining to the strict rules is that it probably gets better looking dancers to strip. Surprisingly, I have always seen beautiful women working in Utah strip clubs. Two of the three dancers I watched could have easily been Penthouse Pets. Dancers will come and chat with you when they get off stage, but dancers have to cover their bikini with a robe when socializing with customers. Customers cannot touch dancers on the floor. The club will generally only have three or four dancers on the noon to 15:00 and 15:00 to 18:00 shifts. The club will have the most dancers between 18:00 and 02:00. The dancer schedule gets posted on Trails Men’s Club’s instagram page. –Sinclair Dancer Sheet– Marae: Looks half white-half Polynesian, black hair, brown eyes, fit body, fake C cups, left arm is a full sleeve of tattoos, diamond tattoo on left side just below boobs, sinclair prototype, 9.5. Rae: White, blonde, tan skin, hazel eyes, fit body, fake C cups, left arm tattooed with woman's face, sinclair prototype, 9.5. Raquel: White, brown hair, blue eyes, athletic body type, B cups, tattoo on back of left wrist, triangle tattoo on inside of left forearm, 7. Trails is a decent sports bar environment to have a few beers and see some beautiful women strut topless. If you want private dances, you have to go to American Bush or Exotic Kitty. If you want high mileage private dances, you need to get out of the Beehive State.

The Oregon trail purposely avoids Utah. Yup, even back then bad strip clubs
Salt Lake City, UT. Saturday night. Close to downtown. Area seemed OK SLC really ain't that ghetto. Although no city in America has more cones on the fucking street. Every single street. Pick your fucking cones up! Parking lot was full so I parked next door. Walk in, blonde girl at the front desk. ID check, Cover $10, free military. No pat down. Photos of dancers all over the wall. This is definitely the woo woo make it rain party spot in town (tuscl translation: avoid at all costs so help you God) Customers a lot of mexican dudes in here, some white and black. Some girl customers and all in groups except your truly. Some hanging by bar, some at the tip rail and some playing pool. Set up is an alcohol club so the dancers get up and dance in a railed off stage and that's it. People were still tipping big though I just can't take part in this faggotry. To get what? Where is the ROI? Dancers. Some were fucking hot no doubt. One mixed black girl, or may latina or maybe middle eastern I don't know I couldn't quite tell but she a such a great fit body and great moves, would've loved to have taken that for dances. Another latina with big boobs, big ass, all natural big fan. Some white blonde girl with dreads, making a ton money on stage. Hard to see full lineup though without staying for 4 hours as girls don't play the floor. Some fake stuff, some natural. Ages 20's and 30's looked about. Overall though that's it. Watch nothing more. It was time to go and while the talent was good, never to return.

Bach'in it in SLC
Bachelor party out in SLC, and let's say I was not anticipating a legendary night out in the state of sister wives and honeycomb. We had several options for clubs - no booze, but no pasties, pasties, no boobs but touching and no touching but booze and pasties. We opted for the latter, and so found ourselves rolling up to Trails at 10pm or so. We were greeted at the door by a day shift dancer who was clearly trashed and being babysat by the bouncer. She asked us to take her home, but we (and the bouncer) politely declined. Admission was I think $20. Once inside, Trails resembles a dive bar with some homey touches. The main stage runs the spine of the space, with two stages at either end. One end has a large bar, the other end opens up to a couple pool tables, tables, and a side bar. Behind the main stage there is a small stage, and dancers rotated the three stages with a few songs at each. Overall, there was a great party atmosphere which was great for a group such as ours. If you want some loud music, people hanging out and talking more than drooling at the stage, a few blokes throwing singles (we got the feeling one was affiliated with the club, promoter type) then this is a good time for you. If you want high mileage (or any) then this pry not your best bet. Dancers were above my expectations! The stage has a large railing which most put to good use with long leans and acrobatics. Dancers skewed white, but a few Asian dancer and one luscious Latina made for some good variety. Mostly unenhanced, skinny and long types. Stayed for a few hours, mostly drinking and stage tipping. Coors were ~8 and makers mark ~12 (I don't have a great memory, wasn't really paying much attention). Overall, a fun atmosphere and feels like a place where locals shoot some pool and go out with their friends. There are titties, but like most places in the Mormon capital I wouldn't get your hopes up.

I do NOT understand this club
I went in to the club on a Sunday afternoon having just arrived in SLC for business. The girl at the door was friendly, but a bit strange, after asking how my day was going, she asked what I had for breakfast. She asked for my Drivers license and scanned it (I hate that) and told me to go on in and have a good time. I went in and the first thing I saw wasn't a stage, but a few poker tables with folks playing poker, not sure of the stakes, didn't really look or ask. I wandered around the club and found a table close to the bar, thinking that it would give me good service and I did have a good view of the stage. I sat there for around 15 minutes and was not able to catch the eye of a single server. I did see a menu and the prices for food seemed VERY reasonable... While sitting there I watched two men that were siting at the stage, one with his girlfriend(?) and the other on his own. Here is what really baffled me. Each time a girl would come up, she would give a great show, working the pole, the bars around the stage, etc. and these guys would be raining ones on her. I'm not talking about a single thrown on stage a couple of times, but 3-5 singles thrown up several time during the set. Then there was an employee (manager ?) that do a fly by tip throwing 5-10 bucks out as he walked by. I'd guess each girl went away with $50 bucks or so, from the stage. The women were attractive, my opinion 7-9's, and they were fit. but as has been said, pasties and panties. The downside is that the women were not even there, in their mind they were obviously someplace else. The guys raining money on them rarely even got a smile. The routines were the focus flipping on the bars, etc. There was nothing erotic or even appealing (to me). Perhaps the fact that they can't touch or anything changes the perspective. But I'm from Texas and used to the girls making eye contact, connecting with you and then extracting that green stuff from your wallet. Price of the Admission, Nada during the day, but understand it's only $5 in the evening. Price of drinks, depends on being able to get someone to actually wait on you. Yeah, I know I could have gone to the bar, but I'll be honest after watching 3 girls dancing on autopilot, I just really wasn't that interested in staying. So I headed out. I'm really kinda shocked, to say that they had hot women, doing a great show, using the pole and the rails and then saying I was fed up and leaving, but that's my story and I'm sticking to it....
