Club Wax

Stopped by Club Wax last night and wanted to share an honest take. There were around 20–25 dancers on the floor, many dressed up for Halloween — good mix of body types and looks, from petite to thick. The overall vibe was cool enough, but the energy wasn’t quite consistent across the room. The Hennessy Room Situation The biggest thing that stood out was what’s happening with the Hennessy Room. It feels like one of the security guards has basically taken over that area and now runs it like his personal section. The front desk no longer seems to manage it — he does. That wouldn’t be a big deal if it were run fairly, but there’s definitely some favoritism going on. You can tell certain customers get special treatment while others are told they can’t do the same thing. For example, I was sitting along the wall by the bathroom when I was told to move because “nobody can sit there.” Five minutes later, someone the guard knew came over, got a dap, sat in the same spot, and even got the lights dimmed for him. That kind of thing makes the environment feel uneven — like it depends more on who you know than how you spend. The Dancers As for the entertainers, I’d call the lineup average overall. I got dances from four dancers — two were pretty high-mileage, the other two just okay. There was one thicker brown-skinned dancer wearing a chain who caught my attention on stage, but she didn’t come off while I was there. If anyone knows who she is, I’d love to connect next time. Final Thoughts Club Wax still has potential, but the favoritism and inconsistent management take away from what could be a fun, fair experience for everyone spending money. I get that personal relationships matter in nightlife, but when it starts affecting the vibe and customer experience, it shows. Hopefully they tighten that up soon, because the place itself has all the makings of a solid nightspot.

I stopped by Wax on Sunday since I hadn’t been there in a while. They were only charging $5 to get in since it was before 4pm. I think they charge $10 after that. The layout was the same, they took out the front VIP booths and it is now just an open space you can see in with some tables and chairs. I didn’t ask if they still charge to go in there since I know I wasn’t going in there anyway. The still have the Hennessy room in the back, but the security guard told me it is not $50 for the day anymore, they charge for every 30 minutes, so I wasn’t doing that either. They used to have chairs and tables in the dark corners, but now there are signs there saying “no dancing allowed”. The quality of chicks in there has seriously declined. Usually you would find a couple of nice looking chicks, but all I saw were either super skinny dirty looking chicks or a few sloppy looking girls. There was only like 10-12 girls in there that I saw and most asked for a dance, but I said no. The dances are still $5 so that is good, but definitely a lack of talent in there. Also, no more bikini bottoms or g strings at least. All the chicks had on little shorts covering their cheeks. I don’t think I will be going back anytime soon. This used to be a cool little spot to get some action with the chicks, but now it is just a sad spot.

I arrived at Wax around 2 am last Saturday, after leaving Vivide. I paid $10 for parking and the attendant let me park in front instead of the side or back of the club. Cover charge was 20, with a light pat down. It was obvious that the club was thinning out. I saw 1 very attractive girl go to the dressing room and after a few minutes, she she emerged wearing street clothes. She was probably the best looking girl in there at the time. There were about 20 dancers left and none were really star material. There were about the same number of customers. Most of the girls in Wax still tend to wear outfits that look faded or old, which takes away some appeal. I walked around the warehouse like club a couple of times to get a closer look at the girls. There was one dancer on stage farthest from the main door. No one really paid her any attention. The girls were scattered around the club, in the 6-7 range. I found a girl who was about an 8. She said her dances were $10. I told her they used to be 10. She said she would give me a deal for 5 each dance. She danced several dances with really good contact. After about 6 dances, the lights came on! The place was closing, slightly before 3am. I asked her how much for the dances, she said 20, as I was expecting her to say at least 40! I gave her 30 and got her IG info for OTC plans. Wax is not what it used to be, but still worth a visit.

Somehow this club manages to stay open. All other clubs in the area have closed. Made trips here on both day and night shift on a Thursday. Cover was $10 on both shifts. No alcohol served anymore and dances can't be done in any spot where there is a wall behind you. They have several signs posted as to where you are not allowed to get dances. Black club, where dancers cannot get fully nude on the main floor. Laps are $5 each with dancers of various body types. Dancer volume is much less these days with current rules, but there are still a few good ones that can make it worth checking out. There is a VIP in back, but it's a open area. Mileage is not as good as before in the main area but you can still do some extra in the VIP in spite of the open space. Since there is no alcohol served, there isn't pressure to buy any of the non-alcoholic drinks. Keep your expectations low coming here.

I decided to check out Wax on Saturday evening after visiting Vivide earlier in the day. I arrived around 11pm. This was my first visit wax in a couple years, and the place has fallen off in my opinion. I paid a $10 cover after being patted down by security. The place was dead when I arrived as there were only a couple dancers sitting at the main bar looking at their phones and a couple customers playing pool. I went to the main bar near the entrance and ordered a bottle of water ($6). I thought about downing my water and bailing, but I decided to grab a seat near one of the stages and stay for a bit. A few more dancers came out of the locker room and one light skinned dancer was cute and had a really nice body. A guy grabbed her right away for dances, so I had to wait for her to free up. There were maybe 10 dancers out in the time I was there. All black and aside from the one light skinned dancer I had my eye on the talent was seriously lacking. A couple dancers got on the stage and sort of went through the motions, but no one was tipping them on stage. It was a sad situation for most of the night, but when the thick light skinned dancer was free, I got her attention and let her know I wanted some dances. She told me she was going to the locker room to freshen up and change outfits and she would be back to see me shortly. I was approached by a slim dancer who asked if I wanted some dances, but I let her know I was waiting on someone. The light skinned dancer came out in her new outfit and sat at the table and chatted for a while. She let me know that she had been working at wax for a while and gave me the rundown of the changes at the club. She said that the city had a change in leadership and had been giving the club a hard time in taking the liquor license, restricting what the dancers could wear out on the floor and sending undercover cops in from time to time to try to catch them slipping. I let her know that I had been there a couple years ago and noticed the difference. After chatting for a while, she suggested that we move to the smaller back bar for the dances. We got set up on the side of the bar and I got dances from her for maybe about the next hour. There is no nudity, but I enjoyed the dances as the dancer did a nice job of grinding with some nice contact and stick shifting. She had a really soft ass that felt great. The dances are $5 per song but I ended up giving her $100 because I knew I wasn’t getting dances with any of the other girls I saw. There was no mention of private dances. She definitely saved this trip from being a total bust. I don’t see how this place survives without the liquor. There are too many better options in Atalanta, so I doubt I’ll be back to wax the next time I’m in town.

I’m going to skip the layout of the club due to several other people describing the joint. Wax is a cool spot in South Fulton. I got there around 2:00 go in and get a pat down from the bouncer. $5 cover charge. I’ve learned to tip the bouncer…they will look out for you in the end when needed. I take a seat and chill on my phone for a bit. I see a couple of girls giving good dances at the table. I’ve noticed a small vip area near the emergency exit where I notice this chick giving great dances. I was friends with the guy getting the dance and he let me know that area is secluded and is only $25. He also let me know the chick he was with was a “great” time. He said he spent $80 on the girl for his good time. The girl was a thick brown-skinned chick with a nice ass. I tried my luck with her and got a dance. The dance was great. Great grinding she reached and over all a cool dance. Especially for $5 a song. I got 4 dances and inquired about VIP. She told me $200. I declined and kept looking. Came across this other dancer “inbox for name”. Got a couple of dances and quickly inquired about VIP. She immediately said she was good with $100. Paid the bouncer $25 for 15 minutes and $100 to the dancer. She worked her dancing moves I was done in 10. Wax is usually a great time. The key is to know what you want and be upfront.
