Hiding it from the Wife

I have a serious question, I request all bullshit go to a different discussion and let's keep this conversation fruitful and productive. For the married PLs, any tips on how to hide certain things from the wife if you are coming home to her that night? Mainly the smell of perfume? It seems to never really go away even after a good face wash. I got called out on that once, we were in bed and she smelled it. And i washed off real good in the bathroom before bed that night. Women have a real keen sense of smell. Makeup, and particularly glitter as well, can be a risk. Do you guys have a certain wash or lotion etc that can help with the perfume smell? Also, do you guys usually bring a change of clothes for strip clubbing or just go home in the same clothes? And on a related topic, out of curiosity, do any of your families use Life360 or one of those Location Tracking Apps with eachother. Thankfully, I don't but I know some families/guys who do. I don't see how this hobby can even be possible with that. Curious to hear some serious and insightful thoughts about these important matters. Afterall, we all love tits and ass, but many of us also have families we love at home.

Currently all of my mongering activity is when I am traveling away from home. And I'm gone quite a bit.
But one thing that I used to do is go to the gym. I prefer dayshift. And I regularly go to the gym to workout. So I would simply change clothes at the gym, work up a good sweat. Then make sure there was no make-up, lipstick or glitter on my clothes. I also did bring different underwear. I normally wear briefs, but I wear smooth, loose boxers when I go to the club. So I would change those before I go into the club.

You could join a gym with late hours and take a shower and change your clothes there. Stash your clubbing clothes in a locker. I’ve never done it but thought of it theoretically.

We do not use that Life360 and I turn off any of the location settings on my phone and laptop. I think the cell company can still do some kind of location tracking with your phone though, even if those things are turned off. If you use the phone, they know where that use was from. My understanding.

Gym seems to be the consensus that most PLs have posted in the past. Specifically one that is open 24hrs and has shower facilities. A lot of PLs would go to the gym and take a shower after a club trip to get rid of the stripper scent.

This also enforces the extra set of clothes in a duffle bag in the trunk of the car now doesn’t look suspicious. Also immediately washing your stripper scent clothes with your sweaty gym clothes doesn’t seem suspicious.

If that’s not an option I would recommend a change of clothes and lots of wet wipes. I, like Warrior travel often and have at times taken a shower with wet wipes because I have no other option at that moment. I prefer the unscented ones. Lastly that leaves your hair. You can’t wet wipe your hair. For that I’d recommend a dry shampoo or some hair gel to mask the scent of a strip club in your hair.

In my travels I will usually accumulate dirty clothes that reek of stripper and cigarette smoke - from when I may briefly enter a casino. I keep these clothes in a separate bag from my other stuff and immediately throw it in the washer when I return home. The cigarette smell usually trumps all other scents so I try to clean my clothes as quickly as possible to get rid of it.

I guess that could be another option. Go hang out on a casino floor for 30 minutes and you’ll smell like you smoke 2 packs of cigs a day. Most casinos I encounter still allow smoking on a good chunk of the casino floor. I go to poker rooms and I don’t know of any poker rooms that allow smoking these days. Just a quick walk through the casino straight to the enclosed poker room and hours later I still smell smoke on my clothes even though I was in that environment for maybe 3 minutes.

Great input. Maybe I'll try Warrior Wipes. Do you think hair really holds on to strip club smell? I hadn't thought of that. I do have a reasonably full head of hair, though cut short. Also, have any you guys gotten caught with the smell ever? What did you say to explain. I ended up coming clean, though just said went w a bunch of coworkers. I figured the alternative (her thinking I'm having an affair or something) would be worse.

You could build your own perfume collection and just spray your own perfume to either mask the smell of the dancers perfume. Or, if you build up enough of a collection you could just pretend its one of your own fragrances or that you combined multiple differenr fragrances of yours

I go to SC during the day. I also wear cologne from when I shower in the morning. I keep the same cologne in the car and apply it once I leave the SC so it has time to seep on my skin. One thing I don't do is get LD's from strippers with glitter or wear a ton of perfume. Even if they handle my clothes, I put some cologne on it. Once I get home I usually change into comfy clothes. My CF doesn't wear glitter and some perfume, nothing overbearing. it's a 90 minute ride to and from the SC I go to. My car never smells like another woman...

I have this problem - I keep a secret computer and never use my phone.

Experienced dayshift dancers know better than to wear a ton of perfume, and I haven’t really noticed a big problem with it on night shift either. When I leave the club I put the AC on high and roll down all the windows to maximize air flow over my clothes, which really does help unless they were bathing in perfume. The bottom line is if your wife/SO is suspicious, you’re likely to get caught sooner or later. Especially for married PLs, hiding spending is a bigger challenge than perfume.

I haven’t seen glitter in a club in forever, can’t believe dancers would still be using it. A much bigger problem for me back in the day was the smell of cigarette smoke before clubs went non-smoking. That smell would permeate everything, clothes, hair, your car, everything, so it required a lot more hygiene activity after leaving the club. Don’t miss that at all!

I have a separate set of clothes I keep at the office, and just put in the care when I know I am stopping at a club. After a few trips, I just go to Walmart and buy a new set to replace my old so I don't have to worry about laundry. I had a dancer recently who had a bunch of glitter on her. She didn't mention it, and I didn't notice until mid way through dance. I got most of it off me, but thank god a friend at work noticed a few leftovers at the office before I went home. I do agree that most dancers know not to wear a lot of perfume. I do usually use a little hand lotion (not jsut on club days) during the day and after a visit. Also, if I grab something to eat after, I might make sure I acquire some of the smells from the food to throw off any scent. On the phone, I bought a Faraday bag, it hides the location of your phone. You won't be able to get calls or texts while it is in there, but I will use it, and then just quickly check for messages and put it back in the bag. Not sure it works for all programs, but seemed to stop at least the basic "find my phone" programs. I will also look in the club neighborhood and identify legitimate businesses I might use as an excuse if ever asked where I was. (seeing a client at a business across the street, etc)

"Mainly the smell of perfume? It seems to never really go away even after a good face wash."

It's not just your face. It's basically any part of you that comes into contact with a dancer or club furniture. Especially if it's upholstered. And if the perfume or whatever type of scent is really strong it not only gets stuck on your clothes it can transfer to your skin. If you have enough time, keep some body wash that you use in a small container and do a quick wash off with that. But remember it will take a little time to fade. It you don't shower at night you don't want to smell like you just did way after whatever time you usually clean up. If you don't use body wash, then try to find body wash that is the same scent as your regular soap. Or switch to body wash. Other options like using a scentless body wipes or whatever is still an option. As the option of last resort, make yourself smell like something else to overpower the girly smell...

I didn't get caught with the smell, but did by lipstick. The dancer must have reapplied lipstick right before she kissed me goodbye. I get home and the wife is telling me to go look in the mirror. BUSTED !!!

I usually take a change of clothes. I’ve never been asked about a smell, but I’ve usually said I’m going out with a friend so it could always be the waitress.bartender or some female patron. I’ve read some guys accidentally spill gas when filling the car. I’ve never done this and don’t know that it is true. Location sharing is challenging. If you turn it off every time you go out then that poses questions. My main club is in a residential area so I could be anywhere in that area. But for all I know my wife thinks I have a girlfriend 😀

Stripper stink is hard to conceal. For this reason I typically do my clubbing when my wife is at out of town and I stay home for work and to take care of the dogs. Location services and locating apps are almost impossible to evade. So I’ll typically leave my phone at home when I go out to the club.

Thanks for all the feedback. Sucks we have to deal with this. It adds a significant layer of stress to something that is supposed to be fun and a break from a daily stresses. I don't know how she smelled it, I washed down a little, even my neck and upper shirt. I think the problem could be that I sleep without a shirt on and she was lying with her head kind of on my shoulder. The smell must have just gotten into my skin really good. Unfortunate.

Wearing the same clothes to the club?

Gross (even if they';re clean)

Dancers pick up on that

Happy being single I guess.

Also stop cheating on your wife and divorce her and open her up to someone who is faithful.

I've found the rubbing alcohol does a good job on the perfume/stripper stink - but you have to wipe down wherever she might have touched. Keep a bunch of alcohol wipes or even a bottle of isopropyl and some rags where you can access them before you get home. My biggest issue one time (thankfully I was traveling on business) was in Vegas - had a pretty wild night with friends and had alot to drink. Went to back to the hotel and went to bed...next morning i am taking a shower and the water was turning brown....yep spray tan all over me..face, arms, neck...then i found my slacks/shirt and they also had spray tan everywhere. They went right into the hotel laundry that morning...if had gone home after that one....game over lol

Just don't let the wife or gf find the isopropyl

Lots of good points here. I’ll add a few. First off, have a good amount of time, like 3-5 hours between your club visit end and going home. This is your time to clean up and mask smells.

Carry a lint roller around on your car or office. Helps to get glitter out.

Wipes in my experience are useless to get perfume out. Use microfiber rags instead. Wet them a little and rub.

If you don’t have a change of clothes or a shower spot, Find public bathrooms along the way home. Gas stations, fast food spots, Starbucks, etc. this is your spot to do a deep inspection and cleaning. Strip off your shirt and check for glitter, and spots that smell of perfume. Use soap, water and rag to clean. Use air dryer if needed. Soap and wash face and neck. Check for glitter and lipstick on face.

Smelling a bag of coffee beans or black coffee clears your senses. Old perfume salesman trick. Use it to clear your nose before checking for perfume on your body and clothes .

Opening windows and running AC on full will not get rid of perfume smell. This will, however help to dry off any clothes you spot cleaned.

(Hint) Perfumes are petroleum products, they do not hold up well in heated environments.

It's strange. I always always have a change of clothes. I think that's necessary. The main issue is the smell of perfume on my skin. Funny, Ive been doing this for 20 years. Nothing had ever come up until this one time. She smelled perfume on my skin somehow. I washed in a sink before bed, but must have been some really strong perfume on me.

Avatar for Myoman

Would rubbing alcohol have a scent on it though? How about the hand sanitizer type of stuff, do you think that would work well? All about the perfume, that's my bigger concern because I always change clothes and things like lipstick are more obvious for us to see before we get home.

Cash: if you pay everything with plastic, then hit an ATM the day you have a "late business meeting," someone might get suspicious. Become the person who uses cash a lot. You can say it helps waiters if they get the tip in cash; helps small business not to pay the credit card fee; blah blah blah.

If you club daytime you can always apply sunscreen, especially if you told the wife you were golfing or some other outdoor activity. It masks most perfume type of scents.

Do you moisturize? If not start doing it. I use B&BW eucalyptus lotion and keep it in my car.

Bathroom spray can also help. Just spray it up in the air and stand under it. Her nose will not know what it is really smelling.

@440viking - it doesn’t matter what she does. If it did, we wouldn’t monger in the first place

I don’t look at it as “fooling her”. The average woman intuition lets them know you’re doing something, however some of us do not want to make it blatantly obvious or be totally disrespectful to the relationship

Have you thought about hitting the truck stops? Often they have both showers and laundry -- two birds, one stone. And truck stops usually have some good, cheap food, to boot. (Just a single guy's input.)
