Have a trip to TJ planned for a few weeks. Wanting to visit my new favorite place, which is Bar Tropical (I prefer it to HK and CC). But I just noticed it has fallen off the Top 40, but by ratings it is still top 10 and it has recent reviews. Anybody know why?

The club ratings don't work the way you'd expect them to. If you like Bar Tropical then go there. There's strip clubs where I'm getting everything ITC and OTC I want with hot girls and then read on TUSCL that they're terrible and the whole town is lame with no mileage. Not sure why we can all understand that people post things out of ignorance all over the Internet, but suddenly they show up on TUSCL and every dude is an accepted strip club maestro.

If your entire trip is based off going to one club, is there a bar girl you can reach out to to confirm it's open? That's what I would do if my whole plan revolved around that.

P.S. I'm not a noob, been doing this off-and-on for a long time in different scenarios and environments. I just don't post reviews. When it comes to my go-to local club in SF, I know a good deal more than what gets posted here. But I do find the reviews here to be generally accurate to the extent that I visit anywhere new. Being new(ish) to TJ, the reviews for HK, CC, and BT have been fairly spot on. Been to all three, even on the same night, but the best experiences by far have been at BT. Also, when it went missing it caught my attention because a club in Canada I was planning to visit last year for a second go round burned down and I was pretty confused when I was trying to find it on here again. It was gone. So I did the same thing - posted a discussion question and someone clued me in. Shit happens, places close, there's a fire, whatever. I pay for this site so that I'm not in the dark, that's all.
I wouldn't make a choice about whether to go to, or avoid, a club based solely on its ranking on TUSCL.
There are many factors which control a club's ranking on TUSCL. First of all, it's competing with many US clubs, and the reality is that most guys don't venture into TJ.
