The future of strip clubs

Inflation causing prices to rise faster than wages may reduce discretionary spending on strip clubs but I see another possibility happening. High inflation in twenties Weimar Germany caused people to give up saving money for things like a house and adopt a live for today mentality and head for the Cabaret, like in the seventies movie by that name. Young Liza Minelli in her bowler hat looked kind of cute in that movie. Could strip clubs become the new Cabaret where people hang out, drink and watch the show?

If the strip clubs turn into legal brothels than I would say absolutely yes. If the majority of them continue to suck like they currently do than I am inclined to say most people will convert their ever declining dollars into booze, drugs, lottery tickets, video games and other forms of escape.

Cabaret is one of my all time favorite movies, and I saw the musical in Feb 2000 at the old Studio 54. In the movie, Liza was great and Joel Grey was amazing as the Master of Ceremonies, and of course Bob Fosse as Director. Musical and movie were based on a semi-autobiographical book from that era. I doubt today's strip clubs will be become like Cabaret back in the late-1930s.

Are more strip clubs opening now? All I hear about are them closing. Lots of lingerie shops now but they are all chains and seem very generic and cold, not like the spicy places of the 70s and 80s when it was still risque.

Unfrtunately this already started in places like Scarlett's and Tootsies in Sofl. People not there for T and A but to drink. It's weird, man.

Nightlife in general hasn't really recovered from Covid. Gen Z just doesn't go out and party the way past generations did. There's a lot of competition with online games, OnlyFans, etc..

The strip club industry has had slight declines in revenue, mostly attributable to declines in New York and Las Vegas. It's not a growing industry but it's not dead and probably never will die.

Rising prices in clubs are severely hurting them as is a relative decline in the population of quality dancers. AI is a big wild card here, it is impacting white collar earnings and career prospects, on the other hand, AI is coming for OnlyFans, so that will be a less and less attractive option for would be SW.

I am really bullish on future of SC. Honestly it is my biggest dream in life to own/run one. I am obsessed with the idea. It would be so different from most of whats out there. The rules have been changing, the scenes, the way people entertain. One example is the rise and mainstreaming of swinger clubs. They're all over the place. I feel like SC and swing clubs have more exciting entertainment than Vanilla bars. And concerts, that kind of entertainment seems kind of dying out, so it feels like there is a really good future in a well run club.

AI is a good thing… its ridiculous that people actually pay tons of money to these online chicks for virtual content… those people can now get their fix easier and cheaper with limitless AI models, meanwhile the onlyfans chicks will have to go into porn or back to the clubs or escorting
