NY will soar to new heights now. Cuomo is a douche
🤷🏻♀️Fun fact, Starbucks ranks the highest for both inequality and also ceo compensation is. Every other company on both lists were otherwise one or the other. They have made themselves an easy target.
All for a company that is gutting its third place business model and made it more uncomfortable to just “hang out” there. For the same price, one could be at some bubble tea place (if one likes a variety of flavors for sweet drinks) or a local coffee shop (if one likes to focus more on the bean itself in their coffee) for the better atmosphere or just bringing a laptop to get work done.
And as for the in-and-out business model, Starbucks prices and often speed don’t reflect the competitors like Dutch Brothers or Human Bean or Scooters or Jolt, etc that have all way expanded in the past few years.
Starbucks has some fundamental issues and an identify crisis. And it is indeed silly to take so much compensation. It’s being ran by a boss who doesn’t know how to fix a sinking ship and would rather just take instead of seriously trying to fix things. If workers are striking, that just means they care enough to try to fix things rather than just jumping ship elsewhere.
Starbucks sells sweet drinks and calls it coffee. Hard pass.
Silver lining: maybe the baristas can use their free time to teach you the difference between pour and pore

✅ ' What Does the Starbucks Logo Mean? The Starbucks logo has always been more than a decorative symbol: The Siren: A nod to mythology, representing allure and attraction. The Green Color: Symbolizes growth, freshness, and prosperity. Evolution Over Time: Each redesign reflects Starbucks’ growth — from a Seattle coffee shop to a worldwide lifestyle brand. In essence, the Starbucks siren embodies both the brand’s maritime roots and its ability to “seduce” customers into an experience, not just a product. ⭐ Some Starbucks, you can sit down outside on their patio with coffee, drink & eat! ✅ ' CHEERS !!!!!!!! When Starbucks was cool, the goddess on the logo had nipples. That is the logo that should be shared on a stripper forum. I don't have the skills to do that though.
The “add photo/video” option is just below the text box when posting.
I never saw this logo before. It does look cool 😁
Wow, I never saw that one before. I was only familiar with the one where they just slapped dots on the boobs of the stylized goddess they use now. I am on a metered connection now, so I am not going to look for it.
I'm a Dunkin' Donuts now and they have the old school stuff up. Looked much better than today's whatever that is.
And yeah I mean mom and pops are gonna have a hard time holding on in NYC. Too much taxes, regulation, too much unchecked ghetto bullshit, all that's gonna be left is the corporate chains that have the ability to hold on. I've been recent years with a lot of old school good guinea places going down.
NYC went through a shithole time in the 1970s, got bailed out (I Love NY theme) and paid it back. NYC has been Mr Toad's Wild Ride for several decades. Only this time, IF they get a "bailout", which I doubt, they'll never be required to pay it back.
I use to enjoy going to Manhattan for the Westminster Dog Show - I showed there 7 or 8 times at The Garden. Today, I have zero desire to go just because it is now hot mess.
^ I live about 15 minutes from Manhattan, but I don't see any reason to ever go there again. I hope this Mamdani asshole runs it into the ground. Federal government should cut off all support. Let the idiots who voted for a communist pay for everything.
I've never been to New York. I've never been to Kandahar, Baghdad, or Port-au-Prince, either. Those all cesspools where I do not need to waste my time and hard-earned cash to observe first-hand. The people of New York are clearly the most gullible and easily misled. The woke mind virus is real and has created an electorate of drooling morons. Don't believe me? How would you explain Tish James, al Bragg, Hochul, AOC, and Mamdani. The biggest challenge our nation now faces, with regards to NYC, is how to keep those liberal fools in the grave they've dug for themselves, and not allow them to escape and infect other parts of the country with their lazy woke socialism.
President Putin, my previous offer still stands. Feel free to nuke New York and make it nothing but a bad memory, preferably during a full UN session.
While electing a Muslim socialist mayor is not likely to make things better in New York, rising prices are causing real problems for average people in this country. The Republicans may lose seats in Congress in the midterms because of this. As a Republican, I do not think this is desirable. This increase in inflation is a long term problem likely to get worse.
^This is nothing compared to the 70s; well, except for people in general being weaker.
@docsavage I have seen those same poll results, and know they are untrue. But the mainstream media is not going to report the truth, are they?
First, people feel like everything is more expensive, including gas and housing as categories. Feels like is not hard fact data. The facts are that housing and gas are two of the categories with the biggest overall drops in cost during Trump 47. However, inflation continues to squeeze budgets from all sides, making all bills and expenses harder to afford.
It will hurt incumbents in the next election, but it's beyond their control. It's all factors being combined from foolish minimum wage hikes, welfare spending, corporate greed, MAHA forcing fewer processed and artificial foods (good thing but more expensive), more made in America (see preceding), and more. It's not the optimal time for so many changes and restructuring, but Obama, Biden, and the dems would never do the right thing at the cost of jeopardizing their power. This is the only shot we may have for a while, so they have to take it.
Welcome to the Free State of Florida - if you can afford it, where Cafecito is served at 2:00 pm.

@gammanu95 the official inflation rate is 3% but if we measured inflation the same way as we did in the seventies it would be 6%. High inflation in the seventies led to many stay at home wives entering the workforce to supplement the family income but we can't do that now because the majority of families already are two earner families. That is why we have near record levels of household and credit card debt. Inflation is coming from low Fed interest rates and money creation, resulting in the value of dollars dropping as more are created. I do not entirely blame one party here. Both Democrats and Republicans do the same thing when they are in power. We have a Washington Uniparty in this country.
I don't buy the Uniparty theory as much as I do the Deep State. I hope we can both agree that an insider swamp exists to protect, perpetuate, and enrich itself at the expense of the taxpayer. Nonetheless, ir seems obvious to me that the values and principles (if you can call them that, they are definitely NOT morals or ethics) of the democrat party more obviously aligns with the political-industrial-entertainment complex than do those of the Republican Party. It also seems obvious to me that the democrat party is more given to lying, cheating, stealing, and outright murdering to expand their power and just whoring themselves out to any donor or cause that will win them elections and power. That's why I just cannot accept the line that both parties are awful when one party is so obviously worse than any other major caucus. Although, the Deep State is bipartisan.

✅ ' Yes, Taylor Swift and Starbucks have partnered on multiple occasions, most notably for her Red (Taylor's Version) and The Life of a Showgirl album releases, involving custom drinks like "Taylor's Latte," themed merchandise, playlists, and even store makeovers, functioning as a marketing endorsement to boost engagement for both the artist and the coffee giant. Key Collaborations: Red (Taylor's Version) (2021): Starbucks celebrated this re-release by featuring "Taylor's Latte" (a grande caramel nonfat latte), custom stickers, themed eGift cards, and a curated Spotify playlist. The Life of a Showgirl (2025): This promotion included global listening parties, a Nashville store transformed into a "Starbies" fan zone with photo ops, unique merch, and free drinks for lucky rewards members who found hidden Easter eggs. Nature of the "Endorsement": It's a mutual marketing partnership where Starbucks leverages Swift's massive fanbase, and Swift gains exposure and celebrates her music through fun, immersive fan experiences. While not a traditional paid endorsement contract, these collaborations function similarly, driving sales and online buzz for both parties.
✅ ' "Taylor Swift's go-to Starbucks drink is a grande caramel nonfat latte, which was officially promoted by Starbucks as "Taylor's Latte" or "Taylor's Version" during the Red (Taylor's Version) album release. This drink can be ordered hot or iced. While this was a specific promotion, caramel is noted as her favorite flavor, and other secret menu drinks have been created in her honor based on her song titles. Taylor's Latte (official) The Drink: A grande caramel nonfat latte. How to order: Ask for a "Taylor's Latte" or "Taylor's Version".
