Most strip clubs charge dancers a stage fee to work there, so the club makes money no matter how well she does. And if there's one truth in the strip club business is that almost any stripper will appeal to someone, so many clubs don't really mind hiring the "less attractive" ones.

As for the "attractive women [you see] come in to audition and then I never see them again", there are far too many factors involved to say why. Maybe they didn't like the looks of the club, maybe they came in when you weren't there and didn't like it, maybe they got a gig at a "better" club, maybe they didn't like the payouts. Who knows.

So you mean they get on stage and dance? I guess prospective dancers often have a hard time getting basic info (house fees, tip out, scheduling rules, etc.) over the phone. So they just come in in person. But you'd think all that would be discussed before they they did a trial dance. Clubs don't like to admit they have a quota on black dancers. They may just go through the motions with if a black prospect comes in.

@georgmicrodong I think the problem I see commonly in Baltimore at least is that they tend to rotate the same dancers between each clubs. Even to the prospective clubs I haven’t made it to yet, checking their social media pages (which I will say they do a good job at keeping them active and posting the girls) it seems like the same ones are at multiple clubs, I don’t see too many new faces. (This can also be said pertaining staff, most of the bartenders & waitresses rotate clubs). A change in faces is something I do want to see. Hence me probably taking a road trip to philly or nj.

@ilbbaicnl For example, I see a girl obviously there to audition. Most recently at PHC Baltimore, hot russian chick, spinner easily a 9 comes in speaks to the manager.

Im drinking at the bar and eavesdrops on the convo. Manager is enthusiastic but says they don’t have the room but the girl is definitely a sure fire money maker. Sometimes I just question the judgement of the hiring staff because I then turn around to a 6 with her stomach hanging to the floor dancing to flopping around to butterfly by crazy town and I just just think wtf…?

As for the black quota cant speak on that but I am partial to black chicks. Shame theres a quota on them cause they usually tend to catch my eye first in the clubs i’ve been to.

Clubs like to have a full roster available for each shift to avoid shortages which can cause complaints that there were too few girls working.

It's much easier to have less attractive dancers because there are more of them compared to a 9 that may audition. And a 9 knows she's attractive and in demand so she may have requirements regarding her schedule, etc.

For example, I've experienced a club that closes at 1:00 AM and the guys start coming in around 10:00 PM and fill up the club. At that time, a large number of new dancers (all attractive) show up for influx of customers and work just a couple of hours.

A club would hire all attractive dancers for all shifts and all hours, but for most clubs that's not possible to do on a consistent basis.

@ilbbaicnl lol. Black dancers are more likely to be ghetto/into drugs/criminal records and more likely to start beef with other dancers even rob other dancers or clients. Also if a club hires black dancers it encourages more black clients to come in so you end up with more pimps drug dealers gangsters etc coming to those clubs to chill. Take a look at the house club in DC and how different the demographic there is to say camelot/archibalds or even some of the baltimore clubs or other maryland/dc clubs.

Some club owners simply dont want that type of club so theyre not going to hire black dancers. The dancers they hire play a role in the types of customers that frequent their club. Nobody is obligated to hire people they dont want just so they can meet someone’s ridiculous ideals of anti racism. Also most guys dont even like black girls… clubs want to make money so it makes sense to prioritize whites and latinas maybe asians too. Even when it comes to dating black chicks are the least desirable so its not at all surprising club owners wont prioritize them

@chunkychicano I don't think I agree with that but then again, i'm biased to black chicks they always look the best to me.

@TriztyK if you're in Baltimore, then yeah, I see why you aren't seeing a lot of stunners lol. DMV, in general, is a strip club wasteland both in terms of quality and quantity. Vegas, Miami, and NYC are probably your best bets if you just want eye candy. Type of club you go to will also play a role. Some extras-oriented clubs will have less stunners than non-extras, imo, because gorgeous women don't need to do as much to make as much.

@Elitis I’m coming to that realization, unfortunately I think that some have the potential to be great and they just fall flat. Grieving the DMV area strip clubs, but I hear okay things about Philly and NYC. Philly might be a next week trip. NYC hate the traffic but worth it if the SC’s there have stunners.

You'll learn different clubs have different hiring standards. Even in the same city. For instance in Jacksonville, FL there are 2 nude clubs. 1 hires almost exclusively trailer trash and the other the dancers are Instagram model level hot at minimum.

Another example would be Vivide and Tattletale in ATL. The former has some of the most heinous Cuban butterfaces you've ever seen (like offensively ugly lol) while the latter tends to focus on above average white women.

Gen Z is a smaller and more prudish generation than previous ones. At the same time, older dancers are now saying that customers have become worse. Of course, that could be that as the dancers have aged they are appealing to a different segment of the customer base that is more demanding in some ways.

Young women have more non sex-work options now than they did 10 years ago, and the sex work options are more varied than they once were (e.g. sugaring). Simply put, fewer hot women are finding stripping to be an attractive profession. On the other hand, clubs are closing at a rate faster than the population of 21-25 year olds is declining, so that should counter act the demographic effects.

I agree with blahblahblahs, demographics & the fact that clubs is closing coz a tighter market competition, so clubs can frequently be slow. The girls have to also pay a house fee, so if the amount of stage tips & pvt dances don't offset, why stay? However, some girls like the real time social way instead of Internet, so that's why you still see 8---10 rate strippers even if it's a regular slower club. If the $SC clientele seems like they don't care, & push too hard for extras, & just wanna free, that's not a good image for them.

Sometimes strip club managers see girls as interchangeable so may not be hiring the hottest girl or trying to keep her very hard if they do hire her. I have had multiple times where I am in a strip club by myself and the manager has offered to go get a girl for me. I don't want "a girl". I want a specific type, one that meets my requirements for being attractive enough to spend my money on.

Is it worth it being sexually intimate with people who typically feel very entitled and/or have contempt for me, for relatively high if unsteady money? Do I not want to have a decent chance for something serious with the 10-20% of guys I find the most attractive? Do I not want to have the best chance at a good salaried job? Do I not want to have the best chance at renting a place in a lower-crime area?
A woman has to answer yes to all these questions and more to become a sex worker. We're getting a slice of a slice of a slice. 50% of 50% of 50% is 12.5%. 40% of 40% of 40% is 6.4%. Women only need to get a bit more disgusted with each bad thing for them about sex work, for there to be a big drop in the number of sex workers.
