I saw Rick Davies from Supertramp left us this past week. They had a show they filmed in Paris back '79. Fucking amazing. Highly recommend. Great film quality.
Yall got any recs out there? that's how you find you new stuff you gotta ask people.
Some other ones that come to mind off the top of my head.
The Police Gateshead 1982. They had a horn section during this tour I think it's sounds great.
Hall and Oates Liberty State Park 1985. Peak Hall and Oates imo.
Billy Joel the Bridge to Russia 1987
Anything in the Isle Wight 1970. Woodstock gets a lot of hype but this one might be one of the greatest get togethers ever. Particularly the Who and The Moody Blues
Al Jarreau Live in London 1984
The Beatles Shea Stadium 1965
Anita Baker One night of rapture 1987
Bruce Springsteen Phoenix '78
And for Yacht Rockers out there. Kenny Loggins live in Concert 1983 and Doobie Brothers Santa Barbara 1981.
There's way more I don't want to get too crazy with it. I like live versions of songs personally.

last commentPink Floyd - Pulse 1994, The Cranberries - Paris, I think 1999. Chicago - Tanglewood 1970 - possibly the single finest concert ever, with Terry Kath's solo in 25 or 6 to 4 legendary. Blodie - at the convention hall 1979.

I saw Chicago in my freshman year...1971 in the school gym. I liked them before that but holy shit! They had amps/speakers that covered the entire wall behind the stage. Really old school...Three Dog Night

The Who did a concert at the Isle of Wight, thinking 1970 maybe 1969 a little after Woodstock. I think there was well over 100,000 in attendance and they concluded with the ending of the “Tommy” opera songs of the Overture, Welcome, and at last “We’re Not Gonna Take It”! Pete’s guitar solos and accompanying bass player Entwistle in a skeleton outfit are great props. You can watch Keith Moon smashing his drums and yelling at the same time, and of course Daltrey is showing off his macho guns in the most bullying fashion as that was common in the day. When the cameras pan across the crowd it takes yiu back to a time when it felt safe to congregate in large crowds where everyone was enjoying the same vibe of high testosterone and free love. I watched it a month ago after my kids fell asleep and I couldn’t get to sleep until 3 in the morning.

^ sorry, I didn’t read all of your post to notice you mentioned this. Anyway, has to be the top five live concerts ever at the Isle of Wight.

I saw the Police in '82, that was the Ghost in the Machine tour. Didn't go to England, but saw them at the old Brendan Byrne Arena in Rutherford, NJ (which later became Continental Airlines Arena and then Izod Center). Damn, that was one of the most memorable shows, even though I was totally fucked up.

Mine is pretty common - The Band Last Waltz Scorsese movie. I was there obviously, but it great.
Rolling Stones Gimme Shelter movie is very interesting. Altamont concert was a shit show. Amazing how disorganized and chaotic it looked.
