Club 1 Tweezie (formerly the Crazy Horse Saloon) . . .

As I write this review TUSCL has NO listing for this club.

Although this club has high visibility as you pass by on I-95 getting to it can be a little tricky. I took 441 (NW 2nd Avenue) to Miami Gardens Drive (NW 183rd Street) and headed east. Almost immediately (1/2 block) on the south side of Miami Gardens Drive you will see Tootsies Cabaret (probably the biggest club in South Florida) and this club is about a half mile further east. Look for a street sign that says NE 500 Block, just before the I-95 overpass, and turn right. Drive along this frontage road that is parallel to I-95 for about 1/4 mile and bingo you are there! The address is 17800 NE 5th Ave, (Second Floor of Club 112), Miami, FL 33162-1008.

I had gone around 3 PM on Sunday and the club was closed. The hours of operation are Mon. - Fri. 24 hours and Sat. & Sun. 10 PM to 6 AM (yes, seems contradictory); for more information call 305-999-9500 or 786-704-6057. Based on the advertising it appeared to be a very upscale black club and when calling for information I asked if it was a black club. The answer I received is that it was NOT a black club and is ethnically diverse. I was also told the dance prices go from $10 to much higher.

The last time I visited this club it was called the Crazy Horse Saloon and took up both floors of the large warehouse. Now, Club 112 occupies the first floor and Club 1 Tweezie occupies the second floor--it seemed like the same club on my visit! Also, it seemed like a black club with over 95% of the customers or employees appearing to be black. This is the second large very upscale club that I'm aware of in Miami-Dade County that is black club. The other is Club Diamond's about 2 miles to the southwest.

I arrived just a tad after 10 PM on Sunday and there was plenty of parking and a security guard in a cart patrolling the lot. As I entered the club, I was warmly greeted and escorted to the stairs that would take me to Club 1 Tweezie. This club does aggressively check ID, sometimes twice or more at the entrance, and does frisk. I didn't experience either, but was greeted as an old friend. They must know me from club Angels. ;)

This is the LOUDEST club that I've ever been too. The hair on my forearms was moving with the beat of the noise as was my clothing! LOUD!!! It was very painful to my ears. :(

The club(s) itself is HUGE and beautiful. You like well maintained fancy aquariums? Well, it was one. :) The actual space available on the second floor is very little and most of those are take by rooms. The decor of these rooms of different sizes goes from drab to looks like a million bucks fancy---and the prices range accordingly. Probably 95% of the rooms allow you to look down onto the first floor so that you can watch the bands perform on the large main stage; I think this club(s) is all about bands.

So, it is real early (for the club) and I'm looking down at first floor and I see this drool worthy slim small young light skin black dancer making lots of nice moves. I'm thinking this is a very good start. Not exactly---it appears they were making a commercial or video. About 10 young black men surrounded her and were throwing thousands of dollars into the air; making it rain. The filming went on for a while and it was all staged.

I also looked down to see who was entering the club. At one point it seemed like every black woman in the area was showing up----too many with excess FAT. :( OTOH, some lookers--slim, short, in shape--were around the club in some capacity. Never did get see any dancers remove their clothing---not even the one for the video---she did at least have a skimpy outfit.

I stayed till about 11:30 PM and gave up. The noise was too painful and the dancers might not have been available till fairly late after midnight. I doubt that I'll be going back, but for the right person this club could be a lot of fun.

BTW, I did request that this club be added so hopefully it will soon be a member of TUSCL. :)
