Excape Sold At Auction

According to an article on patch.com, it appears that Excape has been sold.

It was never one of my favorite clubs. Besides being a pastie club, the awkward layout of the stage and the resulting lengthy tip parade in the middle of the sets made for unsatisfying visits.

The article doesn’t give any concrete plans for the future, but its continuation as a SC seems unlikely.

Its current status is unknown. I’ll probably be in the area within the next week or so. I’ll stop by and see if it’s still open.

I wouldn't miss it. Weird place with substandard dancers and nothing going on

oh wow, I'll try to check it out sometime to confirm. Agree not my fav - not even one of the best in the county - but it's been around a long time

I drove by Excape this evening and it was open. So we’ll see what happens.

The club posted a bunch of dancer pics on their IG last night as a roll call. Whoever owns it, it appears they are operating it and took control of the IG account.

Excape is closed for good. I drove past Excape today. There is now sectional chain link fencing surrounding the motel and club. You can’t even pull into the club’s parking lot. And a commercial real estate company has a “For Sale or Lease” out front.

I’ll submit an update to the Club Details.

I had some really great times at Excape back in the mid-aughts. Top shelf talent, very underrated mileage, cheap drinks and low dance prices were a perfect lust-filled storm that I enjoyed as often as I could back then.

My reports of Excape’s death might be somewhat exaggerated.

Rather than bulldozing the club’s building and the adjacent notel, it appears the new owners are rehabbing the property. They hired “Royal Plus Disaster Cleanup” to work on the motel and a painting crew painted the motel buildings bright yellow. ( I have no idea how many tweety birds died for that paint job.)

So far, the club’s building appears untouched. A dancer heard a rumor that the new owners are going to rehab the club and reopen at some point. If true, I hope it’s an improvement over the old club’s layout.

I’m in the area a couple of times a month, so I’ll keep an eye on it.
