Went to BT for the first time. Was (very) surprised by the associated security. The wand/ pat down was quite aggressive, not like other places like (say) Rachels in West Palm where it is fairly friendly. Inside the bouncers were on edge, scanning constantly, almost as if they were nervous something might break out. Vis. other places like (say) Rachels in West Palm, it seemed like BT was somewhat more on guard towards "adverse events". It did detract from the general vibe; will not return.
Have others experienced this? Or do others think this is more of an aberration?

Was there last night, did not see that. Pat down was perfunctory, exchanged some silly banter with the security guy I literally bumped into cause I was more focused on checking out the ass on a chick who walked buy than I was watching where I was going as I was making my way to my seat.
I mean, occasionally the pat down guy or one or two other dudes will take their job a little too seriously, but I've never seen the bouncers en masse be particularly on edge looking. But, if you're comparing BT's vibe to Rachel's, you're not gonna get the same thing at BT. BT postures as exclusive and lavish, but it's still very much a mid to low end joint. Rachel's doesn't posture, they just are higher end. Higher end clientele, higher end & better trained staff, etc.
Cheetah Pompano tends to fall in between the two, you may be more comfortable there. Or if you're a fan of Rachel's, ORA and Monroe's in Palm Beach offer the closest experience. They both leave me feeling like they're trying too hard to be like Rachel's and it just comes off as phony and pretentious to me. But some people must like that vibe cause they do decent business on prime nights, you could check it out to see if it works for you. And Monroe's scan's ID's, so I generally avoid it.
