Would it be fair to say Porn is the most difficult type of SW?

Alot of the pornstars enter the industry coming from bad situations. They can be easily taken advantage of and convinced to do things they didn't think they would do up on entering the industry. There are a lot of pornstars who have come out and said how horrible industry is and want their videos removed like Lana Rhoades and Riley Reid. It also seems like pornstars have higher suicide rates than the rest of the population.

Isn't the porn industry you guys are talking about completely dead at this point? It's all OnlyFans now

But it’s easily the safest form of SW in terms of potential to be assaulted (and there’s no risk of ending up with a criminal record) and porn has the highest earning potential by far, so I guess it depends on the SW’s priorities whether porn is the hardest or not.

It does also depend I guess on whether you’re only counting traditional porn and not OF, since I wouldn’t say the hardcore-ness of it plays a factor in OF since a lot of those girls are successful without doing all that.

A lot today depends on the talent and acting skill of the porn star who has to make the shoot look real to the viewer. Take Riley Reid, as an example. She was highly paid and won awards. Kind of agree. There's a local person, with whom I'm friends on Facebook, who was put through the wringer as a porn star. Lots of shady, downright illegal, and definitely disgusting stuff that kept her there. She's out of that now, but she occasionally disappears for weeks and months for her own mental health.

I don't think it's accurate to say it's typical that porn performers are overtly forced to do things they don't agree to. I think it's pretty standard now that they are told specifically what they're expected to do, before agreeing to the role. The more seedy operations will badger them on set to agree to do things they hadn't expected to do. I remember seeing an interview with Lisa Ann, where she noted choking as a reason she retired for good. She said it was increasingly common that the men needed to choke the women in order to stay hard.

Apparently something that happens a lot is that new performers overestimate their chances of being the next Riley Reid, with a strong fan base that always wants to see them in new scenes. The offers to do vanilla stuff dry up after a few months. So they decide to accept offers to do non-vanilla stuff. But even those offers peter out after a while.
