After my March visit to Pattaya, I had a few nights in Bangkok to seek out female entertainment. I knew that Bangkok has 3 red light districts: Nana Plaza, Soi Cowboy and Patpong. Never having been to Patpong, I decided to check it out.
Patpong Night Market is collection of shops, street food restaurants and bars. Scattered within Patpong Night Market are gogo bars. The gogo bars do not have an entrance fee, and so I could sample a number of gogo bars for only the cost of a required beer.
I was disappointed in all the gogo bars in Patpong. They had fewer dancers and less nudity than Soi Cowboy and Nana Plaza. There were some attractive dancers, and the waiters and mamasans made it clear I could take them back to my hotel. But I have been spoiled by other Thai venues.
If you travel to Bangkok, I recommend you go to Nana Plaza and Soi Cowboy, both of which have larger clubs, more dancers and more nudity. Nana Plaza and Soi Cowboy are off of Sukhumvit Road. Get a hotel on or close to Sukhumvit and you can walk to the best Bangkok clubs.
