rickthegator is happy. Normally he is kind of pissed at those damn dirty apes in Gainesville for appropriating his culture (gator culture, not rick culture) but he likes a good basketball game when he watches one. ROAR!!!
Congratulations to the national champion Gators!

Jump to latestCongrats to the Gators, except that at my job, I somehow have a Gator fan coworker who probably won't shut up about it. (I have this week off, so I can't say for sure. But how he ended up in middle of nowhere Iowa after growing up in Tampa is beyond me.)
As someone who may or may not have children who attended, or who are currently attending the University of Florida, it is indeed a great time to be a Florida Gator!
A title still alludes Houston. 7 Final 4 trips, 0 championships.
I thought if they could beat Duke they could beat anyone.
I SO prefer NCAAB over the NBA. Congrats GATORS! Great, exciting game.
I use to go to a LOT of Big East SU basketball in The Carrier Dome. When you get over 28,000 per home game, it is a lot of fun, Dome Beer helped too. When completed in 1980, it cost $25M, no frills, paid off in 1 year. It was supposed to be called the Ernie Davis Dome (first African American to win the Heisman), however Carrier ponied up like $3M "gift" and demanded naming rights. As a little kid I grew-up across the street from Coach Ben Schwartzwalder. The movie, "The Express" was pretty accurate. Schwartzwalder said "Jim Brown was a Real Pain In The Ass, Ernie was a good kid."
^ oh how I miss the days of true Big East basketball. ‘Cuse was great to mow down a lot of teams back in the day.
^ I drank enough Dome Beer and ate plenty of Dome Dogs that I owed a Final Four trip. "What the Hell's a Hoya!" was a great taunt back then.
Gotta love that Big Orange tradition, but I never would have been able to survive winter in Syracuse.
Dang, I thought this was going to be about alligator UFC, what a disappointment.

GREAT JOB GATORS amazing win too, I don't think the gators had a lead for more than 65 seconds
