Adios to Adelita For Good

After being closed for at least 2 years, you have to wonder whether the effort would even be worth it. There primary competitor has pretty much laid claim to the area. Also add in every other competitor is has improved since their closure.

That said, I am a baby to the TJ scene, so perhaps there was still a customer base that could have been reached.

Considering what a zoo HK is every night, including weekdays, there is plenty of business to support another club. And there was a time when there was enough business to support multiple clubs under multiple ownership.

My ATF says that she still has costumes locked up in Adelitas. Other girls have said they preferred working there and will go back if it reopens.

I'm actually very stunned that's been 2 years now since the Mexican government shutdown Adelitas. I was fully expecting it to reopen within a month 2 years ago. Absolutely amazing is 2 years now and still not reopened. I don't think Hong Kong was directly involved in getting Adelitas shut down. They're in the family. distant cousins as I understand it. In my opinion Adelitas was definitely an asset to have in the neighborhood. Even though historically if you look at it Chicago and Adelitas both had the main market with Hong Kong just a little player back in the '90s.

But it is what it is.

Adelita's was always a part of my rotation of club visits.Honestly I've had a lot of fun there but of course my absolute favorite club was Hong Kong. and still is Hong Kong. the selection. The turnover. To me the awesomest of just those two points is beyond description.

In my opinion Adelitas was fucking awesome during the COVID closures of the main clubs. First they had a couple girls that were not regulars of adelitas as it was before the COVID closures.

Then adelitas opened up 'the club' Upstairs in the hotel... It was definitely awesome. They had a couple of girls there that were so beautiful... Definitely so damn tempting.

There was one particular girl... I suppose more properly described as a MILF. But she was Mexican as far as I understand. I think she was from Venezuela. Every time I saw her I would come up to her and just as a tease tip her a dollar or two.

Never pull the trigger with her. and now certainly I regret it.

I never came across her again after Adelitas main showroom reopened after the COVID closures.

I would imagine that some PLM is now supporting her from that time that she first appeared in 'the club'.

Interesting. Lots of real estate there. I wonder if someone else will open a new club there. There is also a large building that is mid construction which appears to be a hotel. I presume that was owned by Adelita’s too but not sure. Does anyone know?

I prefer Adelita's hotel since 2019, they let me checked in early at noon vs. HK's hotel at 2pm, and they've tall beds. During Covid shutdown I stayed in Adelita's hotel for months on & off alternating with Chicago's hotel, both were really cheap. I met the legendary senior monger who had been living in Adelita's hotel fulltime. He had disturbing images posted on his window for all to see:

I must admit, back in the day (2004-2008), Adelita's was my favorite spot. Those were my first trips to TJ and I vividly remember hanging out there and having chicas constantly come stand by my table - showing off their stuff. The vibe was much more laid back thank HK. Great times!
