Louisville, Club 7

For anyone interested in Louisville clubs, there's a new one on 7th Street.

Club 7, in the same building where the recently deceased "The Pony" was located. The new club is very similar to the The Pony, but is now apparently either owned or being run (not sure which) by the same guy who was running Blue Diamond in its heyday.

The new one has the potential to be as good as Blue Diamond was at the beginning. Hopefully it won't turn into the coke fueled dumpster fire that was Blue Diamond at the end.

I've submitted a listing with what I know so far, which isn't much.

LOUISVILLE, Ky. — Several people are facing charges in connection to a fatal shooting outside of a Shively strip club, and at least one of them has been involved in a murder before.

The arrests are in connection to a shooting outside Club 7 on Feb. 2, where 26-year-old Rodney Parker was killed.

Police in Shively investigate a deadly double shootingCoroner identifies 26-year-old killed outside Shively gentlemen's club On Wednesday, Shively police and Louisville Metro Police arrested five people in the shooting: Keasia Tyson, 27, Davion Birdsong, 19, Chance Guthrie, 18, D'Montray Rox, 20, and a juvenile.

All five suspects are charged with murder complicity, assault complicity, and wanton endangerment complicity. Guthrie is facing an additional charge of possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.

The citations say some went to the club that night and asked about a patron. After that, some of them carried out a "coordinated attack."

Police said with Parker incapacitated on the ground, the group approached him and "executed him at close range."

Someone in the group then fired into the building, hurting another person.

At this point, it's unclear who fired the shots. And police say some assisted in helping the shooter(s) escape.

Rox pleaded guilty to complicity to murder when he was a juvenile. He was involved in the killing of 19-year-old Devon Robinson in 2020. Robinson was waiting at a TARC bus stop when he was shot several times.

He and two others were sentenced to five years back in 2022.

@shadowcat: Only one correction, the club is listed on TUSCL. Doesn't have very many reviews.

I haven't been there in months. Not because of things like this, but rather because it's been pretty lame whenever I did go in. Doesn't open until 9 now.
