What's the strip club m.o. from seasoned veterans?
papides
I've tried searching for guides but they're usually lacking in concrete detail.
I'm used to the fast house scene. I want to give clubs a shot but have no idea what or how. Am I suppose to bring a bunch of singles? Reading from some of the comments here. I can tell people who have been at this a while have certain tactics and playbooks gained from experience. For example, read the room. If girls are busy or not my type hang out on stage. Et cetera. That's a fictional example.
Also what do people expect in terms of extras? The goal is to build a relationship and get her number for meeting outside the club? I.e. half the fun of a challenge?
This is for NYC.
Thanks for any and all advice.

Buy a drink.
Scope the room out.
Approach the dancer you like and tip her or buy a dance.
You can get change at the club.
What are my options there? I feel like I will look like a clown or the club won't like that I'm not buying their expensive drinks? Personally I'd be fine with soda water mixed with lemon juice or perhaps vermouth at the very worst. Thoughts? How do you all handle the buying drinks for girls situation? Only if you like them or already know them?
Try to bring singles with you if possible. Any cash you bring is always the best solution, because ATM in strip clubs are NOTORIOUS for price gouging (like 10 to 20%).
If you are tipping on stage and notice the dancer leaving your spot and focusing on another patron, leave her alone. She is focusing on someone else, so should you.
Extras depend entirely on two things: the club atmosphere and the dancers themselves. Most major strip club chains and locations in the inner city are a bad place to look for extras. Go to clubs in poorer districts or just places that are not mainstream (these clubs are pretty obvious to detect, and this site will help you with those). So many guys are missing out on extras because they just don't 'want to leave their comfort zone'. Typically higher minority clubs are less strict about rules.
I don't live in NYC but my advice should help.

Yep. It’s called “The System”
People with no reviews, particularly those who ask about extras in specific clubs, are either cops or journalists looking to shut down clubs.
"I don't drink. (Just don't like it.) But clubs tend to have drink minimums right? What are my options there? I feel like I will look like a clown or the club won't like that I'm not buying their expensive drinks."
I gave up drinking in 1992 -- not that I had a problem with it, I just didn't like it either. FYI, all I ever buy in SCs is bottled water, and nobody bats an eye.
If you think about it, I *am* buying expensive drinks, since they often buy cases of cheap bottled water at about 10 cents a bottle and sell them to customers for as much as $10 (and sometimes more) -- a helluva mark-up for the club. Even though I can usually nurse one long enough not to have to buy a second if there's a two-drink minimum, it's still not much of a bargain for me. To me, it's just part of the drill of visiting a strip club, like the cost of parking, cover, VIP wrist-band, etc.
But yeah, nobody thinks I'm a clown for drinking water in the club. They might think that for other reasons, but that's a discussion for a different time. 😁
