I wasn’t just a Trump supporter, I was a true believer, I was one of his closest

The truth hurts, but if you accept it, it will set you free
Title couldn’t say it all.

“I wasn’t just a Trump supporter, I was a true believer, I was one of his closest advisers. The Trump family became my family.

I saw him when the cameras were off

Behind closed doors, Trump mocks his supporters, he calls them “basement dwellers”.

He has no empathy, no morals, and no fidelity to the truth.

He used to tell me: ‘It doesn’t matter what you say, Stephanie, say it enough and people will believe you.

~ Stephanie Grisham, aka “I love my country more than my party”
~ September 20, 1024
~ Former Trump White House press secretary.
~ She was the first senior staffer to resign on January 6 2021 because 6 United States Capitol attack directed/led/orchestrated by Trump.
~ During the January 6 insurrection, she asked Melania Trump whether she could tweet that there was “no place for lawlessness or violence”, and the first lady gave a one-word reply: “No.”

Bullshit. Trump is the greatest president America has ever had. Remember when he was president? Booming economy, tax cuts, secure border, no wars.

    Lead an insurrection
The boarder was not secure. Migrants came over and then families were seperated. Everyone in this country is a migrant or came from migrants
The economy is better now. Even before covid. Inflation is coming down but not fast enough. It was strategic from the federal reserve because due to covid it is easier to come out of inflation than a recession.
America is not at war. You can't blame an American president even if we were. Only congress can declare war. No one was going to stop the geo conflicts going on.
Tax cuts for corporations and individuals make $350k or more.
Get out of your parents basement and try something other than Fox News.
Stop feeding into his bullshit and propaganda.
    Oh right... Twice impeached.
    Record deficit.
A cabinet with numerous resignations throughout
Told the vice president to ignore the constitution
He was and still is an embarrassment. Its a shame republicans could not do better as a nominee.
    The greatest American president. Stop.

Michelle Obama’s Princeton undergrad thesis was anti-white and anti-American. During her presidency she calmed it down a bit, but her racist vitriol was on full display last night.

    "Lead an insurrection"
A riot with flags and selfie sticks, not an insurrection.

    "The boarder was not secure."
It was loads better than it is now.

"Migrants came over and then families were seperated."
Still happening. That's what happens when adults commit a crime, should we imprison the kids with them?

"Everyone in this country is a migrant or came from migrants"
So what? Mine came legally through Ellis Island, not illegally.

    "The economy is better now."
LOL, maybe if you omit any semblance of context, or you're rich. My stocks, my real estate are fine. Job numbers are getting revised down.

"Even before covid. Inflation is coming down but not fast enough."
That's what we get for spending on green bullshit during a supply chain crisis. Doing that while raising rates is in direct opposition.

"It was strategic from the federal reserve because due to covid it is easier to come out of inflation than a recession."
Not sure about that. You can't just dial up inflation to the right amount. We recover naturally from inflation.

"America is not at war. You can't blame an American president even if we were."
So what? The world has gotten less safe, directly due to American involvement. We have no Ukraine strategy other than enough aid for a stalemate. Biden and Obama suck Khameini's cock. Biden restored aid to Palestine which went right into Hamas pocket. Biden embarrassed us in Afghanistan (can't blame Trump for Doha when Biden reversed everything else Trump did on Day One). We look like shit.

"Only congress can declare war. No one was going to stop the geo conflicts going on."
Yet Putin didn't invade anyone under Trump, but he did under Obama and Biden. I'm sure you're going to say anything good that happened under Trump was despite him and anything bad that happened under Trump was his doing. Progressive blindness.

"Tax cuts for corporations and individuals make $350k or more."
I opposed the tax cuts for deficit reasons. Though your contention is disputed anyways.

"Stop feeding into his bullshit and propaganda."
Is all the media and Democratic party eating Kamala's ass "bullshit and propaganda" too? Dems were trying to toss her last year, now within hours of her announcing they're acting like she's their great white (really black/Indian) hope.

    "Oh right... Twice impeached."
Goes to show you how political impeachment is

    "Record deficit."
That's what countercyclical spending during a pandemic looks like. We did under lower interest rates than we are now.

"A cabinet with numerous resignations throughout"
And Harris' staff turns over just as fast. Is this OK when one side does it?

"Told the vice president to ignore the constitution"
Only partisan Dems care about Jan 6, because they have so little else.

"He was and still is an embarrassment."
Speak for yourself. He certainly wasn't great, but embarrassment is your emotion.

"Its a shame republicans could not do better as a nominee."
That we can agree on. But right now he's the only thing that stands between us and the party that divides Americans and plays them against each other, proposed a budget that's a 50% increase in spending over this one, lauds the criminal while prosecuting self-defense, weaponized the DoJ against political foes (look at how they dealt with pro-lifers praying the rosary vs pro-choicers firebombing pregnancy crisis centers--and I'm pro-choice so don't give me that), pushes the LGBTQ agenda on America and especially kids, and made us look like absolute pussies abroad, especially to Russia and Iran.

    "The greatest American president. Stop."
And the Dems are saying he's the worst. Complete lack of historical perspective on both sides. I won't render judgment on anyone after the Cold War, when the world changed, but I'll take the Trump days over the Biden days in a flash.

Oh, and I don't watch any TV news.

vote Democrat if you want any chance of having BBFS at strip clubs, OTC's, and AMP's. If there is no safe and allowed abortion there will never be any bare services

I don;t really care about BBFS (too risky) but I know there as some of you who care.

The party that legislates what can happen in a bedroom or a doctor's office are the donkeys.

Also if you want more 20's South American strippers, especially those who have no other marketable skills and who can't speak English but can speak sex, you need to vote D.

@sfrsox - make your decision however you will. I'll do without any Latin strippers or BBFS (with a stripper? gross!) if it makes the country safer and more prosperous. I'm not going to be a slave to my dick.

Its not fair to tax richer people a higher rate to begin with. Technically everyone should be paying the same tax rate.

Something is seriously wrong with the Jan 6 complainers. Also these people have yet to make up their mind on how a protest works.

If its Jan 6 protesters, its all trump supporters, no left wing infiltrators.
If its BLM antifa protesters, any violence and explosions are blamed on right wingers infiltrating the group doing all the damage.

So right wingers infiltrate the left wing groups but the reverse doesnt happen? Thats bias.

When the floyd protests were going on, people on twitter were literally claiming cops infiltrated the BLM protests and went around destroying stuff. Their sole proof for this was because a white, blonde guy, who vaguely resembled a random white cop, was breaking windows in a BLM protest. In no way does that prove cops infiltrated the group to secretly cause property damage. But if we’re going to base things purely off bias and speculation then it means the Jan 6 events were all left wingers, BLM, antifa etc posing as trumpsters.

That was a short but great speech by ex-Trump press secretary Stephanie Grisham last night. All the Republicans speaking at the DNC are giving great speeches.

I'm not surprised at all Trump called his supporters "basement dwellers". I'm sure he's said even worse.
  • Puddy Tat
@RMD - I've never bought the "infiltrators" theory on either side. Extraordinary claims require extraordinary evidence, and all that.

@wld4tatas - I'm one of many Trump supporters who's holding their nose. But this DNC illustrates all that Trump is opposing--economic, social, and foreign policy madness. And that's good enough for me.

    @Dong

"Its not fair to tax richer people a higher rate to begin with. Technically everyone should be paying the same tax rate."

That sounds right on its surface, but how do you account for tax code on capital gains (long/short), dividends, loss carryovers, and a variety of other financial methods of decreasing ones tax burden? If you're saying fuck it, ALL of it gets taxed at "X", fine....I could get on board with your idea, but otherwise....fuck that....the rich can take their hit because they have the means to hide/decrease their tax burdens.

    @Puddy

I fully understand why you will vote for Trump....you have to, in regards to your political worldview. It's the same reason I would have voted for Biden....I just have to.

That said, I'm fascinated with why Trump was chosen to represent conservative politics? It seems like there are a ton of other worthy candidates that check off all the same boxes for Republicans that don't have the baggage that Trump is carrying.

Clearly, my comment can be used with the name "Biden" inserted as well.
  • Puddy Tat

@jaybud - he was my last choice among Republicans. But for a lot of people, it was because he said what they were thinking, that globalism had left them behind, that Republicans were more concerned with being in the right DC social circles than advocating for them, that he wasn't polished or a politician or held them in open contempt.

I can’t believe I would agree with anything a Kennedy would say….but RFK jr. said it best

"She went in four weeks from being the worst liability for the Democratic Party to the second coming of Christ without giving one interview, without showing up for a debate, without a single policy that anyone thinks isn't ridiculous," he said. "It's not democracy."
  • Puddy Tat
@motorhead - it's more artificial than Doritos. You can see the liberal media giving the same talking points on cue.

I don't care about "democracy" within the Democratic party, it's a private entity of which I am not a part. But I do care about her lying about all her and her running mate's far left nonsense and the media rationalizing and covering for it. As far as I'm concerned, she'll go hard left once again if she's elected.
  • wld4tatas
That quote from RFK Jr is nuts, consistent with a lot of other stuff I've heard from him.

As much as I respect him, Biden was the biggest liability after the debate. Kamala wasn't a liability in the Dem party. There hasn't been a scheduled debate yet for her to show up to, and she's got plenty of support for her policies overall from the left.

In other words, RFK Jr is living in some alternate universe, like many on the right, and that's where he will fit in best.
  • wld4tatas

    >this DNC illustrates all that Trump is opposing--economic, social, and foreign policy madness.

What specific madness are you referring to?
  • Puddy Tat
"Kamala wasn't a liability in the Dem party."

It says something that they're trying to act like she had nothing to do with the last 3.5 years.

After her horribly destructive policy proposals (a tax on unearned income is criminally bad), reminding voters that she has been second in command the last 3.5 years is the best line of attack.
  • wld4tatas

You clearly aren't paying attention. There's been a lot of recognition of the accomplishments of the Biden admin at the DNC, and speakers are gladly linking her to these accomplishments.
  • Puddy Tat

^ LOL yeah to a friendly audience.
Accomplishments, God help us if we have more of them. Major terrorist attack from someone over the border? Another 30% price hike on groceries? Another clusterfucked Afghanistan withdrawal moment? Lowering the age of gender reassignment surgery like "Rachel" Levine wants?

But hey, we have to accept because "joy," right?

    Lulz.

Harris herself tries to pretend she's new. Vance said it best, her day one was 3.5 years ago.

Let's see her 2019 platform she's trying to run away from. Abolish private health insurance. Defund the police, continued with bailing out rioters. Ban fracking, yeah say that in Pennsylvania. Price controls which anyone who has studied economics for 5 minutes can tell you creates shortages.

Now talking about a tax on unrealized gains? Just imagine, the government prints money so your assets go up in value, now you have to pay additional tax on the appreciation which might reverse the next year.

But at least we won't have mean tweets!

    Here's a few accomplishments as a reminder.

    - 15 Million jobs created
    - Unemployment rate reduced from 6.2% to 3.9% in first year, the biggest single year drop in American history.
    - Unemployment rate dropped to 3.4%, the lowest in 55 years.
    - Unemployment below 4% for 27 months, the longest stretch since the 1960s.
    - Strongest vehicle emissions standards ever to save drivers money and reduce pollution.
    - Strengthened NATO and restored US leadership on the world stage
    - Passed the bipartisan CHIPS and Science Act with major investments to bring semiconductor supply chains and jobs back to the US
    - Kept campaign promise to reduce student debt
    - $35 per month cap on insulin for seniors on Medicare
    - Historic prisoner swap with Russia

.... and the list goes on
  • Puddy Tat
^ Nice, so everything he did was an "accomplishment."

A natural recovery after a deflationary shock, with unemployment getting revised back up.
More green nonsense and mandates for a technology that isn't ready for prime time.
Obviously NATO not strong enough to deter Putin ("minor incursion" LOL)
Historically high ratio of debt incurred to jobs created
Student debt offloaded onto the American people
Swapping prolific arms dealer "The Merchant of Death" for an careless ungrateful idiot WNBA player

Keep up with the list man. With accomplishments like these, who needs failures? Lulz

The one thing that makes some sex workers see her as flip flopping is when she supported Trump's sesta-fosta legislation.

Its insane for Trump supporters to attack her record on prostitution for the one time she supported Trump 😂
