I just checked the top 40 ignore list and I see that 2 people muted founder. My guess is founder doesn't GAF that 2 people ignored him but the 'muters' might be doing themselves a disservice, if an important announcement is made they won't see it.

If an announcement is that important, it would plastered on the homepage of the site. You wouldn't be able to ignore it.

Well in all of my years here I don't recall founder ever making any announcements 'regardless of it's level of importance' any other way other than just starting a thread about it.
Anyway it's all mute now, pun intended' as he's no longer visible on the list.
When you ignore people, they just come back under a new name, with some polish. Icey is here as Mate27, so for those who ignored it, it means nothing.
