I see my finish line approaching and have the expectation that I will eventually club 10-20 times a year when I go to Florida.

$30 dances seem to be becoming the norm throughout the country. I'm holding out with the $10-$20 clubs as long as I can, then I may find a new hobby. Also, more girls are asking for tips on top of $30 base fees.

Perhaps an MBA student can take this up as a topic for an essay on price elasticity. It seems that at some point, demand (or at least the willingness to pay for LDs) will decrease once price hits a certain point.

I would rather spend $100 on 5 dances, than $90 on 3. Ultimately, the girls will have more idle time, and may have fewer regulars, and therefore, may make less money overall.

However, I do recognize the following points:

1 - There will always be a demand for naked women grinding on guys' laps

2 - Stripper logic dictates pursuing maximum cash in short-term vs increased cash over time. And, they would rather earn $90 over 3 songs, than $100 over 5 songs.

Contrary view would be that the girl moves onto another PL immediately after 3 songs, and continues her cash collection. My response to that assertion is that there are fewer guys getting LDs, and therefore she ends up with the same amount of money in the end.

Now that I think about it, perhaps they are into something, as we all prefer to maximize income per hour, and for the least amount of effort.

Everything is $40 a dance out here in Seattle. Has been for several years.

With the $30 dances, clubs are trying to transition over from being just a strip club appealing to the ordinary PL who comes in after work for a beer and dance to a destination for a "luxury" experience appealing to the well off affluent PL. The marketing approach is to sell "luxury"and not a "commodity." As was explained to me (as best she could) by a dancer at RIDolls.

I wonder how the supposed luxury girls will feel when they see the commodity girls driving luxury cars, while the luxury girls are driving Kias, when PLs flee to more reasonably-prices options.

Lap dances were $20 in the late 90’s. I hate the price increases but they are way behind inflation. Be glad if you can get them where you are. We have a couple clubs in Baltimore that offer $20 dances on Wednesdays but otherwise it’s $30-40. Rooms are a better value here.

that's why I stick to the dive bars, I suppose.

I've had enough $30-$40 dances that were shadowed even by Philly and Baltimore bar side dances that were had for $5-$10, to know they aren't worth it.

Rhode Island Dolls is in Woonsocket and Mario's is in Webster. Neither one will support an upscale club....ever. Wonderland tried to be that in providence and failed miserably. While I am not paying $30.00 a dance the $30.00 dances, I got Tuesday were better value than the best ever $20.00 dance at the boardroom. Same level dancer as far as looks with 400% better contact.

I look at LDs primarily as an audition to decide whether to invest in VIP rather than an end themselves. So while I’d of course prefer to pay as little as possible, $30/35 doesn’t bother me. If you buy a paint sample at the paint store to see how it looks on the wall, you know that the unit cost will be way more than when you buy a gallon
