    No. It's not absurdity. Think of what actually has value in life. You can put them in big buckets. Contributions to the community (or world if it's a big enough deal), goods and services, and discretionary time. Any of the three can feed back into the other two, but only one can be directly turned into leisure that serves no one else. Financial wealth is tied to the ability to generate revenue in a scalable way, or to perform a service that others will pay a premium for. Actual wealth is tied to the ability to generate more discretionary time...and enjoy it.

    I'm going to guess that the kid said it, but somebody else probably thought it and said it better first. But every leader has to start somewhere. We'll see if she makes it without getting burned at the stake.
