OK. Here is the straight poop, I think. The city of Atlanta granted permission for all strip clubs to be open on Sunday during the World Cup. Vivide opened. Then the Atlanta Police Dept. said that they could not cover the extra patrols needed without paying overtime. So the city was forced to cancel the Sunday club openings.
I’m a conservative-person, but I think that stuff of certain-businesses not being allowed open on Sundays is way outdated given today’s fast(er) paced-life and many people also have less free time w.r.t. when they can do stuff – reality is we’re not in the 1950s anymore where it was more-common for families to go to church on Sundays; etc.
As far as I’m concerned it comes down to personal responsibility – if one does not want to partake in certain activities on a Sunday; then that’s their right; but not right to impose it on everyone else.

last commentYeah, there was a sign posted when I visited on Friday that said they would be open the next few Sundays. I don’t get it either.
I saw that too. I'm off next weekend so I may actually stop by this next Sunday and see what is up.
Drove by yesterday around 4 after a date and they looked closed. Only saw one car parked near the front and nothing else.
I was at the club today and was told that the city gave them a 1 day option to open for 1 day only. ???
^^^ What does that mean? 1 Sunday a month?

@Papi It was quite a culture shock moving here from CA back in 1987. Things are better now than then but still have a long way to go.
