As a veteran thank for the kind words. I salute thee with a drink in one hand and a titty in the other to my fellow mongers. I believe Club Wax in the Atlanta area gives free admission to Vets normally. I remember using this discount before in the past
Wax actually just stopped this practice about a month ago. They even posted a sign on the wall!
Actually, to more precise, they “adjusted” the practice. Vets get in free before 4pm on weekdays. Of course, most active duty work until 1600, so it’s almost like cutting it completely!
I'm not knocking anybody here, so don't get defensive. To me, "thank you for your service" just sounds like "better you than me."
I fly the flag, I donate to Wounded Warriors and Tunnel to Towers, and I call or get gifts for a few I know personally; but I go out of my way to never say "thank you for your service"
I recognize the sacrifice that others have and continue to make to keep our country strong and free. This is not lost on me, and I am truly grateful. I contribute to Veterans causes each year on my state tax return and will continue to do so.
^ Yet another thread you had to pollute with your misguided judgement. I actually somewhat agreed with your point on "thanks for your service"... which is why I used different words to convey how I feel.

last commentThank you to all who served, and may God watch over us, and keep us safe from harm.
these men not only deserve free admission but free lap dances until completion as well.
Well said Shadowcat, TwentyFive and rattdog.
Thank you for your service veterans. This is an important day to remember and thank all of our veterans.

Happy Veteran’s Day. Thank you to everyone who has served. You have my gratitude.
I come from a long line of military veterans who served during wartime
Grandfather - US Army - France WW I
Father - US Navy - Pacific WW II
Uncle - US Army - Korea
Uncle - USMC - Korea
Uncle - US Army - Viet Nam
Me - I am in that small window between 1975 - 1980 when registering for Selective Service was not required
Looking back, I wish had joined the military and made it a career. I think it would have been a good fit
Thanks all Veterans for your service.

Sugar 44 in Phoenix has no cover for vets and active duty every day. I was planning on going in tonight anyway.
