Picking up off of Muddy's Scorsese thread, I called Scorsese the master. Actually IMO there's a second master, Ridley Scott. Same as with Scorsese, I can't get enough of Scott's movies.
Alien, Prometheus, Alien Covenant, Blade Runner, Gladiator, Hannibal, Blackhawk Down, Kingdom of Heaven, Body of Lies, and many more.
If there was a Mount Rushmore of film directors, Scott would be up there with Scorese and probably Spielberg too.
The Martian is my favorite
It's a tie between Alien and Blade Runner. But if I was forced to choose, Alien by a nose hair.
My favorite film by him was A Very Good Year, starring Russell Crow and Marion Cotillard
Blade Runner was awesome
I also like his brothers Tony stuff. Especially Top Gun
Kingdom of Heaven was my favorite.
I thought Blackhawk Down was impressive.
Didn’t he direct GI Jane? I didn’t mind seeing Demi Moore’s big implant jugs in that one…
