Is Facebook and Mark Zuckerberg Liberal or Conservative

motorheadFat, drunk and stupid is no way to go through life
You can’t get a straight answer when you Google it
Liberals think he’s a right wing fascist who got Trump elected
Conservatives think he’s a progressive leftist

last commentZuckerberg personally probably leans libertarian. I think first and foremost he's a capitalist who wants to make money.

He's very right wing. Supports authoritarian policies. Censorship. Collaborates with cops and homeland security. Sells the personal info he demands from members. Will use anything as a marketing gimmick to make a buck.

I'm sure Zuck, like any good capitalist, has greased palms on both sides of the aisle.

Mark Zuckerberg would seem to be a neo-liberal. Yes he will profess to support a lot of liberal ideas and he does hate Trump.
But what he really supports is a society where the liberal ideals of the Enlightenment are being coopted and used to make something which is Fascist.
Gavin Newsom is another version of the same thing.
A.O.C. was very hard on Zuckerberg when she questioned him in Congress.

To answer the original question zuckerberg might dabble on both sides for his benefit but his true colors are leftist.

He's a modern day robber barron with leftist social views. Take a look at his donation history

He met with Trump and said positive things while spending $400 to elect Biden. Not only is he a leftie, he’s a lying weasel.

He's a Clinton Democrat. Democrats who would have been Republicans in the pre-Nixon GOP. They think the country would be great now if Congress had just gone along with Obama's platform. They buy into the pecking order of Ivy Leaguers, flagship university grads, other college grads, and then the deploreables.

Ilbbaicnl is correct. What is today known as Neo-Liberalism used to be known as Neo-Conservativism. Ronald Reagan and Margaret Thatcher are seen as two of the leaders. It was latter that some of the left was styling itself as something like them.

He has no politics at all.
He was rejected by every girl he ever spoke to in high school, and is now getting his revenge on the world by making as much money as he can.

Capitalist - willing to go whichever way the wind and profits are blowing at the time. For the past several years the money has flowed from the left so that is where they lean.

I'll note that West Coasters don't agree with the Ivy over all mentality. A lot view Silicon Valley where the real big brains are and CalTech and Stanford are better than the Ivies, especially one you get past Harvard-Yale-Princeton.

@JamesSD, ditto for MIT which carries more heft in many circles. Anyone bragging about the lesser ivies (non-HYP) in Eastern Mass gets a wedgie.
