Buyer Beware At Archibald's Exxxotica Afterparty This Weekend

Archibald's in DC is one of the official afterparty sites for this weekend's Exxxotica Expo in Northern VA. According to the show's website, it's free admission until Midnight at the club. Apparently, that is not actually the case. A $20 per head cover was in effect last night. A club employee who might have been a manager indicated it was a misprint on the website. I also noted the "free cover til midnight" was blacked out on the flyers on the bar. I ended up bailing before Joanna Angel's appearance. Oh well. Live and learn, I guess.

last commenti always wanted to go the one in new jersey but it would always be held at a remote location not accessible by train or bus.
the girls that worked the booths to me were the hottest ones there, not the features. i always wonder if otc or doing something behind a curtain while they're on break would be available.
but yeah that bait n switch tactic is fucked up. clearly an intentional misprint. to type/write $20 and the word free is so way different on so many levels.
could have been a little more worse - could have charged $49-100 instead.
as long as you had a good time at then end that's what matters most.

If they charged a cover at Archibalds - and they kept the same club format - I would not go.
The times I’ve been there - I couldn’t even tell if the dancers had bad breath!
They don’t do any lap dances - so why go? And why host an after party with porn stars? It sounds like a waste of time and money!

I hadn't planned to go for multiple reasons. However I ended up with tix to the hockey game and decided WTH since it was still early and the club is not too far from the arena. It was a mistake on my part. At least the parking on K street is free by that time of the night. So I didn't get hosed on that.

A lot of clubs have a $20-cover at night even if it's not a special event (especially post-Covid).
I wouldn't sweat a $20 cover and its actually not that high for that type event.
Having free cover for an event like that would be unlikely and shouldn't be expected.
