Yes I am behind the times. I rarely watch TV shows but I got coerced into watching Narcos: Mexico and I loved every episode. I finished season 2 the other day and I’m excited for season 3 which is coming out in November.
Next I am going backwards and going to watch the original Narcos which is about the Colombian drug trade.
For someone who doesn’t watch TV I highly recommend watching this if you can stand a good amount of subtitles. I think Muddy posted a topic a few weeks ago about documentaries and a lot of people gave some great suggestions so that should keep me busy all winter. Right now I’m concentrating on losing money betting on football to watch TV shows!

last commentI used to work with one of the main couple of agents portrayed in the Narcos about Colombia / Escobar (after he retired from the feds). Dude annoyed the living hell out of me. Dude was constantly chomping on his gum, worse than a cow, worse than Pete Carroll.
But if I remember right, that show kinda made Escobar into a sympathetic figure.
If you can find Operation Odessa on TV or streaming somewhere, check it out, totally fascinating doc about the cartels, Florida strip clubs, and former Soviet weapons.

Agree with DrE. I don't think I finished Narcos Mexico, but the original was truly fascinating.

It's sensationalized.

Icee said "It's sensationalized."
It's not a documentary. But it is enjoyable TV.

The reality is ugly and nothing glamorous. The blues and fentanyl epidemic are a product of Mexican drug cartels. The people involved are stupid petty criminals for the most part. They prey on their own community. Making undocumented immigrants pay by smuggling drugs across the border. "Taxing" Street vendors and small businesses. Infesting Latino communities with drugs that are basically fentanyl. They cut everything with it. People working for the cartels are human garbage

^^^ where do you fit into all of this when you’ve mentioned you sell drugs?

Past tense is different from the present. I don't fit anywhere on that scale and never have.
We're in a worst stage than the crack epidemic right now
