Zona Norte

Has anyone been to Tijuana's Zona Norte since the borders closed? I recently became aware that foot traffic is allowed to cross. Is this true? I had no idea. If you're not aware of what Zona Norte is... it's the red light district that the Hong Kong and Adelita's is located in.
