Now as this baby was born in the good ole USA she is a US citizen would anyone here call this child an “anchor baby”
And do you realize in 45 years she can run for President

Anchor baby? No.

The child's mother is a US Citizen. Additionally, she and Harry are in this country LEGALLY and under no threat of deportation.

Incredibly sad that she is considered an American due solely to geography. No one should automatically be a citizen here in this day and age just because they were born here.

I honestly think citzenship is something that needs to be earned. What did you do for this country? We support too many pieces of shit that don't contribute at all, in fact the opposite just drain resources and it just drags this wonderful country down.

Too bad Meaghan is an American citizen and no one born to any foreigner, half or whole, should automatically become a citizen. So sad that we are poisoning this country with foreigners.

I'm no fan of birthright citizenship and think it should be eliminated. I'm also not a fan of Harry and his bride (although I really couldn't care less about them or what they do). But strictly from a logical standpoint, if a US citizen travelled to Europe on vacation and got knocked up by a Brit, then came home and had a baby, I don't see how you make an argument against citizenship for the child. Kinda sounds like that's what you're advocating.

The rich abuse birthright citizenship the most. The anchor babies are used to legitimate transferring/money laundering their wealth here. South African and Russian jews are notorious for this as are wealthy chinese.

Read the fourteenth amendment:

All persons born or naturalized in the United States, and subject to the jurisdiction thereof, are citizens of the United States and of the State wherein they reside. No State shall make or enforce any law which shall abridge the privileges or immunities of citizens of the United States; nor shall any State deprive any person of life, liberty, or property, without due process of law; nor deny to any person within its jurisdiction the equal protection of the laws.

I knew there’d be some fools that take any bait presented, but let’s assume just for shits and giggles that birthright citizenship went away, exactly what would you folks replace it with?
Tell us how you’d predict which babies born to whom would become good citizens without sounding like a bunch of bigots if you can.

^^ Replace it with nothing. Just eliminate it. And physically secure the border. Not sure what you're asking. As far as predicting babies, well, you can't. There's kids born to American citizens, and the people we allow to come here LEGALLY, and then you get what you get.

I'm only saying it doesn't make sense that a pregnant woman can take three steps over the border, drop a baby out, and it gets the lifelong benefit of American citizenship as well as making it harder to deport the illegal mother.

The 14th Amendment was created to protect the rights of freed slaves, not as a loophole for illegal immigrants 150 years later.

^ Birthright citizenship in the United States is United States citizenship acquired by a person automatically, by operation of law. This takes place in two situations: by virtue of the person's birth within United States territory or because one or both of their parents is (or was) a US citizen.

Not talking about the 14th amendment talking about the birthright citizenship as it’s generally understood here in the United States

Just make it so if one parent is a citizen so is the child. Replace birthright citizenship for poor refugees with humanitarian visas. Punish the rich who take advantage of it for financial gain
