At least they only gave them a 36 hour shutdown I wonder what exactly they did to violate the orders and what kind of penalty a 2nd violation could result in.
The clubs were shut down by Clark County, not the governor. The county was enforcing the governor’s order but it was the county’s decision. At least that’s what it says in the article. I don’t have a dog in this fight. If we’re going to blame someone, I just think, y’know, facts.
Nevada is a corporatocracy run by casinos. Shutting down venues not in casinos/hotels while looking the other was as casinos do as they please is obviously based on their power jn the state.
The partial shutdown and covid 19 measures favor the casinos more than anything. Shutting down any competition is their wet dream
The casinos will do anything to keep patrons there rather than let them go to other venues. They’ve done it in the past and with diminishing profits due to restrictions, that makes sense.

The one problem with governor Sisolak is he goes after everyone but the casinos coz they own Nevada.
