Slavery has been abolished unless you commit a crime.

Agreed. Life is chock full of choices every minute of every day. The vast majority may be as simple as choosing to eat a hamburger. Some could be more troublesome, like trying to beat that train at the crossing, etc.
As a black person that earns a six figure net worth and grew up in the hood and has known many other black people that have done the same.

White people aren't so racist to not want your goods and servicves if the quality is there. That includes your labor.
