I'm not normally one to use melodrama statements, but it's hard to use a less descriptive title for what happened on that stage last night. Simply put, they carved him up like a Thanksgiving turkey. He was stiff, defensive and dismissive. He looked utterly unprepared, able to do little more than respond with a series of canned statements while they attacked him unceasingly and rather cleverly at times.
It was a performance reminiscent of Rubio's in a debate before the 2016 Republican New Hampshire primaries, where Trump and Christie beat him up so badly that all he could do was revert to canned statements, which Christie then also mocked him for doing. It essentially ended Rubio's candidacy. Now Bloomberg probably won't go down so easily, but that performance had to have hurt him.
