"Martin met her ex-boyfriend while working as a stripper years before her death. The two dated and had a baby girl together. But as years passed, the relationship fell apart and love transformed into animosity.
In the fall of 2015, it appeared the ex-boyfriend was going to get custody of the child. Martin began seeking someone to either seriously injure or kill him, prosecutors said."
