Club closed on New Year's eve

Did a quick visit the afternoon of 12/31. Predance chit chat:

Me: over 2 years? I'm surprised I haven't seen you before. Her: I mostly work nights, but since we're closing at 7(pm), I thought I'd pick up a day shift. Me: A strip club closed on new year's eve? Her: Yep, "Darryl" wanted to give everyone time to enjoy NYeve with friends and family.

I would think new year eve would be an up night for a strip club. Anyone heard of a club being closed NYE? What's your experience with clubbing on New Year's?

I always thought NYE was a big day for strip clubs. I've only been to one club on NYE, but I did it a few years. That club was Scarlett's in Hallandale. It was packed every year. I remember having to call in a favor to even get in one year. It's a shit day for clubbing if you want any sort of conversation or favorite stripper/regular type activities. But it's a great day for hanging out with friends and enjoying the stage show and maybe a couple dances.

New years day, I think is dead slow. I know at least a club or two that are closed all day. I've been hosting a BBQ to watch the bowl games for years so I've never really considered going to see for myself. I do know I get a bunch of calls from strippers asking about OTC on NYD, so I presume its pretty slow.
