Just to keep everyone updated, there has been an alleged robbery/shooting at Concepts in Lawrenceburg. One person is in custody. Further details will be made available once charges are filed. We believe there is no on going threat to the community.
Vazquez pleaded guilty to Armed Robbery (Level 3 Felony) on March 3 in Dearborn Superior Court I. The negotiated plea agreement came just days before Vasquez was set for a jury trial.
In exchange for the plea, charges of kidnapping, criminal confinement, intimidation, pointing a firearm and resisting law enforcement were dismissed.
Following the plea agreement, Judge Jonathan Cleary sentenced Vazquez to 16 years behind bars with six years suspended to probation.
Vazquez received 271 days total credit time for accrued time and good time spent between August 14 and March 3.
It had looked like maybe the Prosecution had a problem. Still trying to identify 3 male witnesses, and then who really wants to testify at a strip club trial.
But the guy did plead guilty. Gross over charging to press him to do this.
But then also the security cameras, clearly showing him pointing a pistol in the face of the cashier. I think that is what really cooked him.
But all looking like he wanted to make an impression on his dancer SO, to get her to walkout the door with him. When she wouldn't, he went on his rampage.

Was the outcome excessive?
