A person isn't a Jew, they're Jewish. Its a religion. Secondly, most are not conservative. I would also beg to differ on Jewish suffering. The genocide of Native Americans, and the generations impacted by the African slave trade would beg to differ.

every faith has its own terms of exclusivity.... and we also have to remember that a good person isn't defined as a moral or ethical person in any religion. Its simply one who upholds ritualistic tenets the best. You can be the biggest asshole but as long as you go through the motions, give money to your church/synagogue/mosque/temple/whatever, and show up to services, you're a good "christian/bhuddist/Jew/Muslim/etc"

I thought about it, who are some Jews that I admire? So I will offer this. Not sure all of them are Jews, but many of them I know for certain are.
Physicists Leonard Suskind, Richard Feynman, Albert Einstein.
Attorneys Barry Scheck and Peter Neufeld
Mathematician Richard A. Silverman
Now this is just a quick sample off the top of my head. I admire these people for the skills they have developed, and because of the huge contribution they have made. But I am not jealous of them.
Now as far as them being successful, I have to say that I have never seen any of them talking about who is successful and who is not. Certainly they all mastered a field and were, and still are, very effective.
But they do not seem to divide the world between the successful and the not, or between winners and losers. Most all of them did things which did not yield them the amount of money which some other people get. Scheck and Neufeld worked as public defenders for a long time, and they also have spent most of their years teaching in law school.
What is clear in all of these examples is that you have someone who is doing things which they really believe in and which serve a social good, rather than just trying to make money.
And so I also see in these examples the strengths of their religions, valuing learning, and rejecting popular idolotrys, and a very deep compassion for those at the bottom.
There is no Nobel Prize for Mathematics because Alfred Nobel was a known anti-semite, and most of those who would have been in line to receive such a prize were Jews.
And in these examples I have provided, I could not imagine any of them saying that because of their religion and their God, that makes them better than other people, and especially better than the poor and criminals.
Felix Frankfurter, Supreme Court Justice, he had been important in dismantling the idea which had been fueled by the newspapers and politicians, that NYC was being engulfed in a crime wave.
