Feeding off of @25's post about how SBIII might have been received and reviewed

Ever wonder how Super Bowl VII might have been received and reviewed by Millenials?

It was the only season in the SB era that culminated with a perfect season.

I get the sense that Millenials would want a more equitable distribution of wins.

Hell, let's not confine it to that Super Bowl. Every year there is only one Lombardi trophy and only the winning team gets Super Bowl rings. Are Millenials upset that not everyone gets participation trophies so that their self-esteem isn't shattered?

Just wondering.

Their paychecks are pretty good participation trophies

I thought of that too, but winning and losing does not effect the paycheck. Plus, with direct deposit you don't have something tangible and showy to display on the mantel. A pay statement just doesn't do it. In fact, maybe the salary cap should be changed so that all players make the same salary. Doesn't matter if you are a punter or QB. MVP or Special Teamer.

I think what the NHL does is quite cool. One trophy. It gets passed from the previous championship team to the new one. Every winning player has their name is engraved on it, AND the winning players get to take it home and show it off. Quite unique!
