Delilahs toms river and manville are supposedly byob but i have heard from friends they have told them no at the door.

I believe that it is going to be those clubs which have opted to be membership clubs instead of retail. As such they cannot hold a liquor license, so they cannot sell alcohol. However, they may not openly tell you that they consider themselves to be membership clubs.

So far more important than their alcohol rules is the fact that it not being retail, the place is exempt from a whole host of public lewdness laws, and in practice it becomes very difficult for LE to enforce anything.

There had been this nationally renowned place called Sights, in Newark.
