Yes, October/November can be perfectly fine times to visit Texas. Although, it's Texas, so who the fuck knows what the weather will be like!
Flights in October can be expensive, because of these events: ACL Festival (5-7 Oct, 12-14 Oct) and Formula 1 (19-21 Oct).

The I-10 corridor of Mongering mentioned by the previous post is correct. El Paso, Tucson , Phoenix, COI, and even bypass to Vegas if you have time and/or enough money will be quite the efficient tour for fun with the ladies. There’s plenty of info on here telling you which clubs to hit, and plenty of Indian casinos if you want to pick up some poker tournaments along the way to fund your activities, with possibly culminating your tour in Vegas!
