I found it difficult to get past Ivana’s heavy accent. I remember Ivana from the 1980-1990’s - when there was big hair - lots of make up - heavy lipstick - etc. I didn’t find her to be very beautiful - but my memory could be way off.

I think Ivana was the least attractive of his three wives. She was almost ugly. He could have done much better. In fact, the second wife, Marla Maples, was really hot, IMO. Melania is not bad, but she's too flat-chested and plastic-looking for me. On the other hand, his oldest daughter, Ivanka, is a real knockout. I totally agree with Trump that his daughter is "one of the great beauties of the world" with "the best body," as he himself once put it. I actually think Ivanka looks much more like her father than her mother. Donald was a fairly handsome man in his youth... that's kind of a skeevy thought, now that I'm thinking about it.

BurlingtonHF - I agree with your assessment of the Trump ladies. I thought Marla Maples was a great mix of beauty and all American cuteness. However, it appears that Mr Trump prefers them to have a more regal European look?

Ivanka is incredibly beautiful. However, I’d like to see her in a pair of tight jeans and a t shirt. I’m sure she’d look great - but I can’t recall seeing her in relaxed attire recently.

Yeah, he's got this thing for Eastern European women for some reason. I grew up in Brooklyn, and there were lots of Russian girls at my high school, for example. TBH, I got bored with them eventually. Too much of anything is boring.

As for Ivanka, I think you're right, she seems to cover up much more now than she used to. This may be because her husband is an orthodox Jew, and she converted. It's part of their religion to dress modestly.

True - he seems to prefer that look. Certain parts of Brooklyn are heavily Russian - I’ve seen that increase significantly over the years.

Speaking of Orthodox Jews - there are many of them in parts of Brooklyn and Queens.

Yeah, before the Iron Curtain fell, the Russian community in Brooklyn was mostly secular Russian Jews (and Russian gentiles who were willing to pretend to be Jewish in order to be granted asylum in the US). But after 1991, more and more non-Jewish Russians also moved to Brooklyn.

The Orthodox Jews that you see in Brooklyn are mostly ultra-Orthodox, or Hasidic. They're the ones who wear the full costume at all times. They're much more religious than Jared Kushner, who's merely regular-Orthodox. Never mind covering up her body - if Ivanka were Hasidic, I think she would even have to cover her hair with a wig at all times. Their religion is kind of a buzzkill.

@BHF I used to be a key holder of the Playboy club, and I met her at an event at the Playboy Club, at Great Gorge, N. J. Not so sure what year it was really, it was prolly closer to 1980 but I remember being introduced to her, and being very unimpressed, with both her and The Donald.

Twentyfive I remember they had a Playboy club out there. I think there was a Playboy casino in AC too (around that time). That’s a cool story.
